    Mayan Life Chapter 2

     

    Tina finished with a flurry her hands up in the air.  This set off a joyous moment at the café.  Fists started pumping, high fives were exchanged and finally hugs all around from Shane’s friends and adopted family.  All in attendance shared a warm fuzzy feeling we all get when for once it turns out right.

     

    Tina received congratulations as well as Shane from all around.  But she was happy on a lot of different fronts, winning her first real case, getting any threat of jail off of Shane’s back and really being able to come through for someone Tina was beginning to care about.  All and all Tina felt invigorated that all her preparation had paid off.  Having all her points in a nice neat row so she could fire then off at the Assistant DA had been worth all the time and effort she had put into it. 

     

    This feeling of victory and self satisfaction made Tina a little giddy.  Knowing that she would have to be leaving for the airport soon Tina made an impulsive request.  “Hey Shane what do you have going on for this weekend?”

     

    Shane looked up to Tina, “Well not a lot at the moment.  What do you have in mind?  Wait aren’t you going back to Texas?”

     

    “Yeah … yeah I am.  Why don’t you come with me?  We’ll have a blast.  I could show you around Austin a bit maybe get you to try that jalapeño margarita we talked about.  We could have a lot of fun, what do you say?”  Tina says beginning to regret asking.  It was just an impulsive thought after all.  Maybe Shane was just being nice.

     

    Shane seeing the color draining from Tina’s face made her own impulsive decision.  “Why not?  I’d love to go.  Do you think I could get on your flight?”

     

    Picking up her cell.  “I don’t know but let me find out.” Tina says calling the airline to check on availability. 

     

    Fortunately for them there were plenty of seats available on Tina’s flight.  Wanting to guarantee the seat, Tina pulls out her credit card and books Shane’s seat next to her.  Not wanting to surprise her Mother too badly Tina’s second call was to her Mother letting her know that she had invited a friend to come for the weekend.  Tina’s Mother was surprised but fine with having a house guess.  “Will she be coming to the party I need to know for the caterer?”

    6. Hello Jwet thanks for another update! :-) I wonder what will happen to Shane and Tina once T’s parents heard about who is Shane! And am I missing something such as Mayan Tina in this update?! :-p is she the daughter of the farmer or she hasn’t appear yet?! Will the project turn into a good thing or would there’ll be more challenge before the success or….??? Lol… Pardon my impatient behavior :-D I just simply curious on what will happen next :-) .. He3.. Btw Enjoy the weekend Jwet! Thanks again for the update and I hope I won’t bored you on telling you that I am pining for next update :-)

    7. I have a feeling Shane will be wearing something black…of course! LoL But as for the Mayan planting of the Bajos – I vaguely remember seeing something of the sort on one of those National Geographic or History Channel stations…hmmmm…can’t say my memory is very accurate -but I won’t give anything away! Great Read – keep it coming! Can’t wait!
