    But thats great! So they worked it all out! I blurted out without thinking

     

    Shane looked at me awkwardly Yup, I guess…

     

    Shane shruged her shoulders again and smiled So you knew she had a sister

     

    At that moment I realized my mistake and started stammering Oh well… I… She… We talked the day before yesterday and she…

     

    Hey dont worry about it Shane said, reassuringly squeezing my shoulder Ive gotta head back, Alice will be here after her little show She chuckled And than Dana and I have something in store

     

    Alice had gotten on stage and now started talking:

     

    Hello hello, test 123… It this thing on… Oh yeah off course it is, Kit just sang us that very appropriate song…

     

    I got a little closer to the curtain trying to get a glance of Alice only to see… That marvalous smile… Bette was there dressed in a beautifull black dress that emphasized her beautifull body, looking up at Alice, and when I hide behind the curtain it was not only not to spoil Alices surprise. The intensity of my feelings overwhelmed me, it felt like…

    Seeing Kit on stage, singing me happy birthday made my birthday just that… Happy… My minds drifted to Tina not being there ever so often. But the knowledge that I would see her the next day made me happier than I had admitted, to Kit and even to myself.

    When Alice got on stage I felt a huge smile appear on my face… What would she be upto now?

    That actually is exactly what I want to say, standing here… Happy Birthday to my veryvery good friend Bette Porter, I raise my glass for you She said, making the gesture.

     

    Sooooo especially for your birthday I want to sing for you one off my favorite songs…. Hit it guys! When the monitor behind her started to show words, I instantly knew what she was upto… This was sort of a karaoke thing, I laughed out loud but when the music started to Ill be there for you, from the rembrands, I had to swallow to control my emotions…
