The Gathering 01.69 – The Gathering ReDux – Pt. 17

“Yeah; sometimes.  I start work tomorrow and it’s at 5am to 6pm.  Twelve hour shifts, what a god send.”  Lara laughed, sipping the juice.

                “You’re kidding?”

“No.  I worked 24′s sometimes.  Sleep if you can, and nap on your feet.  That was a motto of ours.  I dreamt that I forgot what a Foley catheter looked like.  I gave the doctor a scalpel instead.  Was a very odd dream to say the very least.  Are you working today?”  Lara shook her head no, it was her first full weekend off.  She was going to go by and say Hi to Kit who was back and offer her a hug and any support she needed, but besides that she had no plans.

“No way.  I’m off duty.  What did you have in mind?”  Lara asked, her eyes filled with mischief.  Jayden thought for a moment.

“How about a rainy day in?  Go rent some movies, grab some Chinese food and lay like vegetables on the couch all day wrapped up in blankets?  How does that sound to you?”  Jayden asked almost shyly.

“Almost sound romantic.”  Lara quipped and Jayden shrugged; and Lara was taken back that she didn’t deny it, maybe Jayden wasn’t as Bi as she thought she was and she certainly wasn’t committed to Alice either.  Will wonders ever cease.  Score one for the chef.

Tina sat at her laptop; looking up some little known magazine’s that might want to be host to the elusive Brian Kinney‘s ads.  She looked over and saw Bette waking and paddling off to the bathroom, her perfect ***** a delightful thing to behold in the morning’s gray light.

Love.  Thought Tina, how it changed things.  Before she’d met Bette; she’d been a straight, ***** sucking, missionary position heterosexual woman.  Look what sort of mayhem a pair of earrings can get you into.  She smiled as she heard the shower turning on, Bette had danced most of the night away with her last night; the second Friday date in a row that they’d burned up the dance floor.  Last night with Shane; the week before with Sam.

    1. WTF! Why’d Sam & Jayden get there so damn early? The second time around was great but if Sam dies, then it really sucked (no offense to your storytelling J – thats excellent).

    2. J, I’ve had a shitty day to begin with and now you give me this??!!! You cannot let Sam die, please don’t do this to me, or to Shane!!!! I’ve never begged before, but I’m doing so now!!!
