The L-Word Matrix: Life in Limbo

    CockNY Lounge, 11:14 pm

The music was pulsing, finding its way into Bette’s head like a snake. She saw no one she could be attracted to. It’s been years since she dated a woman—can’t trust anyone in her line of work. Even at Work (her real job) everyone was a fucking robot. Once, she fucked the boss’s personal assistant in the copy room. That was five years ago. Lately, she had begun to re-read the erotica that had been banned by the last administration before the Final Vote for a permanent head of state. Now she wanders through a maze of writhing, half naked bodies, aware that her grey tank top and tight jeans are turning heads.

“Hello Bette.” A distinctive English accent, glowing green eyes, and long luxurious dark hair, were the first things she noticed.  The second thing she noticed was the tattoo on the back of one wrist, marking the woman as a known terrorist.

“My name is Trinity.” The Brit spoke softly, her lips close to Bette’s ear. Her shoulders and arms seemed to be carved from ivory, and Bette smelled a kind of perfume, something that made her head light.

“The Trinity?” Bette’s mouth fell open, her skin breaking into goosebumps. “You’ve been wanted for over six years.”

“Yes, well, that’s life.” Helena laughed.  “I’m here to warn you. You’re in terrible danger.”

Bette pulled away, looking the woman carefully over. “You were in my computer this afternoon. That was you. You’re fucking good…”

“I know.” Helena couldn’t keep the smug smile from her face. Though, she had to add, “you’re good to. I haven’t been up against security features like that in all my days in the business.”

“How am I in danger?” Bette shifted uncomfortably. Being too close to this woman was turning her giddy. A familiar sensation was beginning in the pit of her stomach, but she figured it wasn’t the time. Besides, Trinity was a notorious criminal and rumor had it that she was insane.

“They call all of us insane.” Helena seemed to read her mind. “All of us who oppose the system that seeks to divide and dominate. I know why you don’t sleep at night.” Trinity’s words tugged at Bette and she leaned forward again. “I know that you look for him. I looked for him as well, but we’re not really looking for him, we’re looking for answers. We come with one question. You ask that question and it haunts you.”

    1. ok, I haven’t seen the Matrix but I love Bette and Helena being sexy and illegal and I love any fic where they have sexual tension and then getting hot and bothered and then getting busy!! Make it so hb!

    2. I missed out on the Matrix movies too. If they’d starred JB and RS instead of Keanu Reeves I would have been a devoted fan. This Belena story is a terrific introduction to the Matrix experience.

    3. Well, well. Wasn’t I saying something sometime about there being situations in which one needs to fight? I have utmost confidence in Trinity’s ability to rescue Acid Burn (pretty name!) from Smith and Jones, or Smith and Adams, or whomever. I mean she had zero problem turning the tables on those nice fellows from the LAPD, those civil rights ignoring, star-fucker wannabes. So get Bette an Avenging suit (oh, PLEASE helebette, do me an Avengers with Mrs. Peel story!), preferably leather, and let the games begin!

    4. Hello HB, wow that was a fast turn around there, this was so very very cool, this whole set up is just freakin sweet. I cannot wait to see where you go with this one, some of the ideals and concepts you can bring into it are just out of this world cool. Then again I cannot wait for you to bring in your trademark Kinetic energy to the action sequences (Wink Wink), how can one join this Cult writer thingy, I want to be a cult writer too *pouts* This is amazing, Sincerely, JC

    5. This is one of my favorite movies. And the special effects that where preformed with the images of Bette & Helena doing them makes it a whole lot hotter! Thanks for posting!

    6. Helebette, been following your stories for awhile and i’m quite impressed. Not only is the Matrix series one of my favorites, but you threw in an essence of Hackers which is in my top 5 fav Angelina movies. There are so many places you can go with this story, I can’t wait to read what’s next. PPS!!!
