That’s why she tilted her head to one side as she folded her arms
across her chest and then she lifted an eyebrow and drawled, “Who is
it?”
Alice blinked for a response, shocked by the blunt question although
she knew she really shouldn’t be considering that was part of the
reason she remained enamored with Gabby was the fearlessness she
thought of earlier. The desire to get the messy painful things out
there and dealt with so you could just ***** move on. And so her
surprise went away in seconds and the screenwriter could see that along
with the flicker of humorous affection floating in brown eyes that was
aimed at her. Unfortunately for Dana, she noticed this as well. And
when Alice looked at the two of them, this is what she saw…
Gabby, an easy smile on her face that expressed exactly what she
wanted, a dark shine in her eyes which called out to any who witnessed
it, and a confidence in her stance.
Dana, an expression filled with fear and wearing a weak but sincere
smile of support, love and worry in her eyes, and a constant shifting
of her weight side to side in a nervous dance.
The answer was out of her mouth before she even quite realized what she
was saying. As if her heart taken control of her head and her vocal
chords as a result and in tones filled with a certainty she hadn’t
known she possessed, Alice said, “Dana. I love Dana. I want Dana.”
Of course it was Dana. It had been Dana since the moment she realized
she was in love with her. The only thing that the athlete had to do was
to realize that for herself and to show up, to tell Alice that she
wanted her too. And here was Dana, doing precisely that, so there was
really no choice to be made in Alice’s mind.
It was Dana. It had always been Dana. And for Alice, it always would be
Dana until the day the tennis player decided she no longer wanted her
but right now, seeing the relief and the joy and the overwhelming love
on the other woman’s face Alice didn’t think that would happen. She
thought Dana would return her love for the rest of their lives and god,
oh god, how unbelievably happy she was to finally see that.

I don’t know how I got so lucky but this story is the first TLW fic I’ve read and became one of my favorite. Yes, this is an end of an Era, I’m gonna miss seeing this title next to your name Dreiser. I’m sure your following stories along with the continuing ones will be at least this good. But somehow LOA will be number one in my heart. Thank you for your time.

Like Bconfused – I had never read a fanfic and this was the first one I had read – it got me hooked not only on this story but all the other danish stories. you are an amazing writer and it is weird that this is ending, because i feel like it has been apart of my sundays for so long. guess i’ll just have to reread while waiting for your dana story. great job – perfect ending for such a great well written story. thank you.
This was the first fanfiction I’ve ever read too. It’s because of this one, I found this website. It seems like I’ve been reading it for ages, I can’t believe its over. It was amazing from start to finish, and it definately got me through the summer without the show lolIt was perfect. You are really something.
It really is like the end of an era here and like others this was my first fan-fic story and it was just soo engrossing and soo well written that it captivated me until now–the end. I can’t believe that it’s over but the way you ended it was great, I think everyone ended up just the way they were supposed to..it flowed very well. I can’t wait for your next fic…and never doubt that any of your chapters suck or that your writing is crappy…bc I think we can all agree that they don’t and it doesn’t.
Thanks for share your talent and for love Alice and Dana. Now to wait for your future and current stories.
It’ll be a strange, coming to the site and not finding anymore updates to this fic. Like many, your’s was one of the very first fic I read and I’ll definately miss this. But that was a perfect ending to a perfect sotry. The screenplay by Gabby was a masterstoke, I love Gabby *sigh*. But the fact that a Dana fic is on it’s way does makes up for this fic ending.

OK- so it took me a month to finally read this. Dreiser, this story got me hooked here, started my writing (for better or worse)It was a wonderfully fun, super sappy at moments, yet with relative angst story with a happy ending! Dana does love her lots and lots and lots! Anyone who can bring Monchichi’s into the same chapter as Boom Boom Boom will always have my respect!!!
*claps* I can’t believe it’s actually over. This fic captivated me more than just about any other I’ve read. You truly have a way with words. What an absolute perfect ending for this story. I love how you wrote Gabby at the end of this story, no one is a loser. Thank you for this story, I can honestly say, I’ve enjoyed it and looked forward to it as much as the show itself. Like I told you in the past I would read warning labels if they were written by you. This is my all time favourite fan fic so obviously sorry to see it end…but what an ending!!! Only thing that has puzzled me all along was why no Lenore? I think I am right in saying she only made a brief appearance in this chapter and no other. Anyhoo just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the story and looked forward to reading this almost more than watching the show itself. I a huge Dana fan (not so much with Helacious) so will be keeping an eye out for your next fic. Thank you again for a great story. Danish forever!!!!!!!!
great and thank god that you did not make us wait to long for who alice really wanted to be with and the endding was great maybe there could have been one where that were to get married and have kids in it please post again soon I loved every min of this story thank you so much for it
