    The letter on the subway

"Of course Art is subjective, and means something different to every single person on earth…..but it helps to guide people in its direction if only to raise a small awareness" Tina concluded.
"Are you an artist yourself?" Bette asked intrigued by the passion the blonde woman was displaying.
Tina froze for a split second. Should she or shouldn’t she answer this question truthfully. She opted for middle ground and answered.
    "Well…uh….I dabble a little bit…abstract mainly…."
    Bette was now totally enthralled.
"Oh…how interesting …. Can you elaborate?"
Tina returned to her passionate descriptions.
She spoke with her hands a lot. Her elbows rested on the armrest of the chair, her hands up in the air, fingers spread open. Bette noticed the delicate structure of her hands, long thin fingers which whirled around as she spoke.  The woman had a pallid complexion which accentuated even more her soft feminine features, she looked fragile and in need of protection. Bette felt herself widely affected by this discovery. She wanted to protect her, wrap her arms around her and never let go.
"I explore a certain release of emotions when I paint, usually something creates a spark or a feeling. It has almost meditative quality…..but I’m not very good…" she falsely admitted.
It was hard for Tina to not carry on any further. She felt completely distracted by the woman in front of her. Her latest question had caused Tina to avert her eyes slightly so as to not give the game away, and they had fallen back onto the brunette legs, which Tina could see under the desk top.
The brunette’s legs were crossed at the knee, both legs angled to the same side. They looked absolutely perfect. Silky smooth leg, tanned as a mocha cream latte, the colour she had already observed when she first set eyes on her.  She noticed the lovely "leg cleavage" the angle of her legs was offering, the indentation which runs from just below the knee to the top of the ankle, a sure sign of a muscular, toned leg. Those were the kind of legs, Tina would love to caress all day. She closed her eyes for a moment at the images which were forming in her head and felt a stirring deep inside her lower abdomen.

    1. oh. oh. what will happen now? this is gonna be great! i reeeeaaalllly L O V E this story. rarely, do i stumble across a story so simple yet riviting in context, that it just makes me, for lack of a bettre term, “wanting for more”. the characterzation of the people on the subway rides…great visual. multiple thumbs up for this story!thanks for taking the time to share and can’t wait to read more on the letter, the art and tina’s art.

    2. Please don’t let Bette focus on trying to get together with Dana and ignoring the wonderful Tina who is right in front of her. The charade needs to end…I afraid for both of their hearts!

    3. “Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.” Love this story. Hope there is some way for Tina to get Dana out of this predicament, and confess that the paintings are hers as well as the letter. God, this ride is gonna be fun and I can hardly wait to see what happens next. I think just from this one meeting that Bette will suspect that Dana is not the artist nor the writer once she begins to talk since Tina has already told her so eloquently that she dabbles in the astract. And I think once Bette talks to her more she will discover who the real artist is, Tina. Gosh I love this. Thanks so much for posting. PPS

    4. AFter reading the chapter my very first thought with a low and slow grinning, Ahhhhhhhh, was “what a tangled web…” and I see that Azmama also had the same first thought. Great minds and all that. Love this.

    5. Wow. So Bette will think its Dana. And Dana won’t have a clue. Neither will Tina. This is getting more interesting by the post can’t wait for more. Great detail about the leg cleavage ha ha that made me chuckle. And more importantly visualise this! Can’t wait for more I’m still hoping for a reply via the subway though really holding out for that! Ppvs Caramel

    6. Well, that’s the kind of interview every job-seeker would wish to go through… With that same employer that is! ;) I’m not too worried about Bette being infatuated with Dana. Love the poor girl, but I don’t think that Bette will be fooled for too long. But the whole thing is bound to be extremely interesting! Thanks.

    7. Uh Oh, now Tina will have to some how let Bette know that it is her and not Dana who wrote the letter. Can’t wait to see how this story plays out.

    8. Oh you are good! My laptop just had a coffee shower. The mere image of Bette trying to woo Dana. Thank you for making my Monday morning a very funny one. On to the presentation of the portfolio, please!

    9. Hi kins40, Sorry as I haven’t been around much lately however I am back and have now caught up with this new adventure. How beautiful and delicate it is. The wondrous letter and now Bette and Tina have met. There was an instant attraction and palpable electricity as Tina spoke about her love and feelings for Art. This totally entranced Bette. Now Dana has arrived in Tina’s place and the major misunderstanding has occured. Bette thinks that Dana has written the letter. Wow-wee such farce. I can’t wait to read how this all plays out. Great times ahead. More please as soon as you can. Thank you for another fabulous fan fiction and making me smile all day long. Your Loyal Fan.
