    A B/T romantic comedy

    “You are fine.” The brunette said throatily. Then she looked down at herself and chuckled. “I’m not exactly dressed to go to the opera either.”

    It sounded suspiciously like an invitation, Tina gladly accepted. She drank in the brunette’s appearance.

    “You are fine too.” She swallowed the excess moisture in her mouth. It wouldn’t do to start drooling before their first date.

     

    Maybe it was the low register of Tina’s voice, maybe it was the suddenly heavier southern drawl, maybe it was the way hazel eyes were glowing unabashedly at her that made Bette feel her pulse speed up and her face flush. She looked away and then she felt Tina’s hand slipping gently into her own.

    “We’ll take it slow.” Tina’s voice came out stronger than she felt. There was a distinctive weakness in her knees.

    “Yeah, slow.” Bette agreed and squeezed the warm slender hand in her own. She smiled at Tina.

     

    They walked towards the music, hand in hand, taking their time, enjoying the idyllic scenery gently rocked by the nearing sound of the piano.

    When they reached their destination they saw Helena and Dusty sitting on a couple of chairs near the stage. They walked over and sat at their side. Helena glanced at them, turned her eyes back to the stage and then whispered.

    “You are late.”

    “We walked farther than we had planned.” Bette replied quietly.

    Helena smirked knowingly but she chose to say nothing. There was a somewhat dazed look on both their faces that told a different story from just an innocent walk. She kissed Dusty’s neck and smiled when her girlfriend looked at her questioning.

     

    Tina was only half listening to the music. She was achingly aware of Bette’s solid presence by her side, her strong hand in her own. Things had changed; they were now in uncharted territory, living the parts they had previously only been playing. Life imitating fiction the blonde thought jokingly.

     

    Bette couldn’t concentrate in the music, after a while she gave up on trying and the Sonata became just the backdrop for her thoughts. This felt at the same time brand new, butterflies in the stomach kind of brand new, and familiar, comfortable, soothing.

Well, I started reading ” The performance of a lifetime ” last night and today I’ve caught up on all 10 chapters. I guess that says a lot about how much I enjoy this fabulous fanfic of yours, doesn’t it ? Really, this is both really fun, gripping and delightful to read. I’m loving this !     23. ONE OF THE BEST TIBETTE SCENES IN FANFIC HISTORY!!!! And believe me, you have an expert here! I’ve read a lot (a loooooot!) of Tibette fanfic, and for a long time I had been waiting for such a hot dance between B&T (Tango is one of the sexiest dances I agree). As a matter of fact, when I first heard of a Tibette dance in 512, I hoped that it would be a tango or a dance of the kind. Okay, 512 was not disappointing in the least but I must admit that you made a strong wish come true with this chapter. How fabulous, and so well done!!! Sabina, you had the greatest idea when you decided to start writing on this site. You are very talented and this fanfic is pure delight. Thanks a lot for this story, a special kuddos for this chapter, and I can’t wait for the next update and the continuation of this beautiful tale. PPS!

They were so in-sync while dancing at the bar when they first met, I just wanted it to go on and on…this topped that scene and was so well crafted. I could hear the tango music in my head as I read the story. You are truly a master. I echo others… more soon. I believe I hear the bedroom calling them.

    31. Oh good gracious alive, that was beyond hot. I could picture those two dancing to the sensual music and starting a wild fire. Better make sure that the fire can put out or at least enjoyed. I bet where ever they are headed will be left scorched from the flames that flew from their bodies.

    46. gaah… I just caught up with this story and am left speechless :o I love the storyline, life imitating fiction indeed :) tibette are meant to be, no matter the circumstances under which they meet. Bette might have thought she had the real thing with Jodie but boy is she gonna get her eyes opened by the lovely Ms Kennard *love*Hope Jodie figures out what the hell it or rather who it is that she wants before she ends up hurting Janet too… although it might already be too late for that :(
