“Shut up! What’s funny?” Bette asked, laughing by accident at Shane’s strange reaction.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to laugh or anything. I just think it’s cute how much you love them both.”
“I don’t love Angelica,” Bette said, almost as if trying to convince herself of it.
“Whatever you say. I just think it’s really sweet … It’s actually amazing, after all the shit you pulled back in the day.”
Bette chuckled, “Don’t make me sound so old.”
“Hey, I was right there with you.”
“A minor back then, probably.”
“Shut the fuck up!” Shane laughed, each of them finally settling into silence. Focusing on the car parked up ahead, repeatedly reading over its license.
“It was the wrong moment to tell her I loved her. I basically yelled it at her.”
Shane smiled into her hand, “That sounds nice to me, actually.”
“No it doesn’t.”
“Sure it does. It sounds like you feel really strongly for her. What’s not to like about that?”
“Well … I don’t know. Was I crazy calling you?”
“Like a fox. Now drive me home.”
“And who do you have waiting for you back there?”
“Oh mind your own damn business,” Shane grumbled, snuggling up to the car door. She opened her eyes when she felt Bette tapping her arm. “What?”
“Your seatbelt.”
“Oh god,” Shane chuckled back, buckling herself in. “Tina’s really rubbing off on you, I see. Or maybe that was Angelica? Isn’t she like a genius or something?”
“She’s already smarter than both of us combined.”
Shane smirked as she closed her eyes again, “Don’t make me pity us.”
“Don’t worry. I’m already on it,” Bette smiled back, driving them both to the same destination, as they lived right next to each other. They’d been roommates years and years ago, but when the house next to Bette’s went up for sale, Shane bought it – high as a kite for that whole span of time – but she never regretted her decision. Especially on her drunk/exhausted days, she could just roll out of Bette’s car or a cab they shared, and stumbled up to her house.
“Hey, should I call her?”
“No. Leave it till morning or you might just psyche yourself out. Sleep on it.”
Bette got out of her side of the car, too. Waving off to Shane. “Talk to you tomorrow.”
“Get some rest!”
But when Bette got home, she checked her phone to see that Tina had a left a message for her already. The voice was hesitant to start, but once it did, it captivated all of Bette’s attention: “Hi … Hi, it’s me. It’s Tina … Bette, I’m sorry about … the way I acted. You’ve done nothing to make me think you’d hurt me. I overreacted. It’s just … well, it’s not an easy thing to hear when you’re not expecting it. I hope you can … forgive my reactions. So … yes. I wanted to apologize. I hope you’re home safe …? Okay. Well … have a good night. I really hope that you do … Okay, bye.”
Bette took her phone from her ear to just stare at it, wondering what to do. Finally, she gave in to Shane’s advice and went to bed. She knew the rest would do her some good. But when she was lying in bed in the dark, all she could think about was Tina. All she wanted was Tina.

this story has me hooked bad!.I love Bette to go ahead,despite being afraid,that she says i am this,take me or leave me. She really is playing for the love! and about Angie i don’t think she has a problem with Bette and Tina relationship,maybe she is being bullied at the school or maybe she doesn’t understand her mother being a lesbian (kids are complicated)and i also have the same question like seduction,Tina referring to herself as being a lesbian virgin is an accurate reason for Bette’s lust? it worth for me ha! it’s HOT. PPVS!!!

Also happy that finally Bette do her confession and I guess from Tina’s reaction is more on her personal bad experience.. The Birthday Wish Hello GrindRight, I ‘m enjoying this story. Although I must admit it’sbringing back memories from my past. I too was once a player. I knew justwhat to say and do. “Dam the kitty cats tight.” Sorry I got lost for a moment.Back to the subject, my greatest concern is for Angelica. Bette mentioned to Shane that she does not love Angelica while confessing her love for Tina. Is it possible for Bette to give Tina real love while she herself is learning what love means? On the other hand, was Tina’s inference referring to herself as being a lesbian virgin an accurate reason for Bette’s lust? Do your thing keep grinding right!

Thanks for the update. I think Tina had a right to be upset. Bette is the first woman she has been with so this is all new to her. For all she knows Bette tells all the women that she’s with that they are special and she’s a “changed woman” because of it. I think Tina is right to be skeptical. People don’t usually change. Bette will need to prove it over time. I’m glad Bette told her before she found out another way. It’s a good start for her new way of relating to a woman. I hope she sticks with it and I hope Tina gives her a chance. Looking forward to the next update.
