The Trouble With Love Chapter Fifteen

“You’re sure you’re going to be OK? If you want me to stay I can. I’ll just send the car and see her later at the hotel. There’s a lot to do today and..”

    “Tina.”

“And I wouldn’t want you to take any of the blame if something were to happen.”

“Tina!” Kate was almost shouting now, trying to get Tina’s attention.

    “What?”

“I’ll be fine and I’m pretty sure the set isn’t going to burn down while you’re gone. At least I hope not.”

“OK. I need to breathe. What is wrong with me?” asked Tina, more to herself than Kate.

“Did you get any sleep, at all, last night?”

“Not much. Every time I closed my eyes I went from excitement to happiness to sheer blind panic in the space of about thirty seconds, and when I finally got to sleep I dreamt of all the things that could go wrong when your thirty thousand feet in the air. It was more of a nightmare actually.”

“I’m sure it was.” smiled Kate.

“Why are you smiling at me like that?”

“Because everyone, once in their life, should experience what you’re feeling now.”

    “Which is?”

“Coming undone, just at the thought of seeing person that they love.”

At that remark Tina looked away. She knew what Kate was saying was true and she also knew that she needed to pull it together. At least just a little bit. Then she felt Kate gently take hold of her arm, trying to get her attention back.

“You’re going to be late it you don’t leave now, and we can’t have that, after all, don’t you want that whole meeting at the arrivals gate, looking into each others eyes thing to happen.”

“You’re not helping. OK, I should be three hours maximum.”

“Tina, we both know that’s not true, once you see her you won’t be able to tear yourself away, and neither should you. Really, take all the time you need.”

“I don’t know what I would do without you.”

Kate laughed at this and decided Tina needed escorting to her car, otherwise she wasn’t going to be going anywhere today and really would miss Bette at the gate. As Kate opened the door for her she silently wished Tina good luck, but she was sure that she wouldn’t need it.

    1. What? No big hug at the airport, where they melt into each others arms and finally security had to kick them out because they were standing there for like 16 hours still hugging? Loving the story, can’t wait till Tina gets back from work.

    2. At last they are face to face, in the same place. Please let them continue talking and hopefully some healing will occur. Please update soon. Thanks for the chapter.

    3. Tina does have a key to Bette’s room, right? Yea, it seems unbelievable that they didn’t have and embrace or hand squeeze at the airport, even friends do that.
