The Trouble With Love Chapter Fifteen

“Did she say much? In the car?” asked Tina, hesitantly.

“I think it would be better if you got that information straight from the source.”

“Come on Shane, give me a clue.”

“OK. As it’s you. She didn’t really say a lot but if you want to know what I think about how she’s feeling right now, it’s flips between wanting to know and not wanting to know at all, and she’s just had nine hours to speculate on and over analyse what your intentions are, by now she’s probably a coiled spring waiting to explode. There is one thing I know for sure though, she wants you back and will do anything to prove that she’s worthy of a second chance. She loves you Tina, I think more now than ever.”

“Thanks Shane. I should let you get some sleep and I think she’ll be here soon.”

“Good Luck Tina. Call me if you need anything.”

Tina looked up from her phone and concentrated on the arrivals gate waiting for Bette to appear. Then, all of a sudden, there she was. Tina stood there, transfixed, watching Bette scanning the room, looking for her. Tina knew that she should be walking towards Bette but for some reason her legs weren’t complying with that particular request, so she just stood still, biting her bottom lip, brow creased in concentration, just staring at the woman who meant everything to her.

Then their eyes met and stayed locked on each other like there was nothing else in the world that meant anything to them, except each other. Finally Tina felt herself moving towards Bette, slowly, like she wasn’t sure whether Bette was really there or not. For Tina it felt like if she moved too quick somehow Bette would disappear and she desperately didn’t want that to happen. Tina stopped, just out of Bette’s reach. She knew that if Bette were to touch her in that moment all her resolve would be shattered. Then she heard Bette begin to speak.

“T? Are you OK?” Concern was written all over Bette’s face.

“I am now. I can’t believe it. I missed you so much and now” Tina briefly looked away, she took in a deep breath, trying to compose herself.

    1. What? No big hug at the airport, where they melt into each others arms and finally security had to kick them out because they were standing there for like 16 hours still hugging? Loving the story, can’t wait till Tina gets back from work.

    2. At last they are face to face, in the same place. Please let them continue talking and hopefully some healing will occur. Please update soon. Thanks for the chapter.

    3. Tina does have a key to Bette’s room, right? Yea, it seems unbelievable that they didn’t have and embrace or hand squeeze at the airport, even friends do that.
