Too Much Time on My Hands Has a Sequel and Now I Need a Better Title

“So am I darling.” Helena placed Bette’s hand on her thigh and started the car.

When they returned to the house, Alice surprised Helena with one more present—a small plant they had snuck in while Helena was greeting them earlier. Shane was busy finding a perfect, sunny spot for Helena’s new friend, when Bette and Helena walked in.

“Ooohhhhh no!” Helena walked over, touching the leaves of her new plant. “I don’t want someone thinking I’m growing this stuff now! Alice, you just want me to take care of your supply for you.”

“Helena, you’ll love this. And we’ll get you more, so we can always come over and smoke some homegrown out on the beach.” Shane nodded appreciatively at the plant. Helena thanked Alice for putting her in way of the law, and they sat down, finally, to eat.

“How’s work going, Bette?” Helena asked, seating herself between Alice and Bette.

Bette smiled and launched into a story about the latest meeting with faculty, and their problems with the new fine arts building.

“Wow, Bette…” Alice nodded appreciatively when she finished. “That’s…really boring.” This earned a playful shove from Helena, and a few bits of food thrown at her by Bette.

Three hours, three bottles of wine, and three separate threats to toss Alice into the ocean later, Jenny and Shane were ready to go. Alice offered to go with them, despite the poisoned glares coming from Jenny—Alice had taken it upon herself to thoroughly mock her for the evening, and all threats to shove her in the ocean had in fact come from Jenny as a result.

“I should go also.” Bette spoke quietly to Helena while the others bickered. “Though, if you’d like…” Helena nodded quickly.

“Stay, just for a drink?” Helena said to her before turning to the others “Girls, cut it out.” The fighting stopped.  “Good, now I’ll see you at breakfast, and thank you so very much, this was a wonderful house warming.” She left Bette on the beach for a few moments, walking the others to the door.

“I love your shirt by the way.” Helena talked as she walked back to Bette. She was nervous suddenly. “Bette, honestly, your shyness is catching. I’ve been feeling tongue tied all evening.” Bette looked at her, a small smile playing on her lips. It was chilly by the water, so Helena stepped closer to her. “Want to go for a swim?” She offered.

    1. Well that was beyond hot. I love the family scenes too (Wilson and his tea party!). Helena’s kids remind me (in spirit at least) of Edina’s eccentric offspring on Ab Fab; luckily for them, Helena’s parenting skills are considerably more evolved than Edina’s. And Tina? I always suspected she’d end up with a tofu farmer. As for the parallel-universe explanation, it’s fiction so why not? Bette and Helena rule in all three dimensions!

    2. okay, i just exhaled…and a few other things…whew…that’s about all i can say…delicious, decadent…umph! you sure don’t leave anything to the imagination…can’t wait for the next installment..,

    3. You know there is a time when words can not be express for a situation and this is that time. If I had to choose between any of your stories as my favorite, I honestly could not or would not. Thanks for taking the time to share it. When I wonder can you top your last one you always seem to come through.Terrific as always!

    4. Ive been reading your stories this past week, and I love your style of writing. I can’t wait to read the next installments.PS. Fuck Tina’s brains, off with her fucking head

    5. Gee…one plant is either one too many or not nearly enough. They keep going like that, neither one should have too many insecurities about the other. But helebette, it occurs to me that you have a real vendetta about Tina’s brains. They were eaten by zombies in “Planet Terror”, you just gave her a lobotomy in “Life Happens” and now in this one she’s dating a farmer who grows tofu(?) on what may be a cult compound, which would require the complete absence of brains. Jesus, what did she ever do to you?

    6. i really, really luv your writing, and of course the pairing of helebette, but my favorites of yours, were the ones where they have the conflicts, but have no choice but to cum together anyway, i think when they are both in full alpha mode, and trying to fight the attraction but to no avail is so damn hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
