Too Much Time on My Hands Has a Sequel and Now I Need a Better Title

Helena finished at the school early enough to take a quick shower before Alice showed.

She was just getting out of the shower, when she heard knocking at the door, and a lot more voices than just Alice’s. She grinned, throwing on a tshirt and pair of jeans. Her smile faltered slightly when she saw Bette. “Hi.” She said almost shyly to the group.

“Hey babe, I thought you could use a bigger house warming than just little ol’ me.” Alice stepped inside and kissed Helena on the cheek. Shane and Jenny followed, hugging Helena and handing her presents—wine and a set of glasses from Shane, followed by a set of coffee mugs and a coffee press from Jenny. Bette came in last and smiled shyly at Helena. They stood quietly for a moment before hugging. “I’m sorry.” Bette said quietly.

“Don’t be.” Helena returned. The others had already walked through to the back. Bette pulled away and handed Helena a bag heavily laden with tea varieties and coffee. “Oh! Fair trade and organic.” Helena smiled brightly. “They’ll approve at my school.”

Bette laughed, walking past Helena and looking around. “This is nice. Very small though, are you sure you can handle something this tiny?” She smirked as Helena swatted her. “Are those solar panels on your roof?” Bette asked. Helena nodded. “And this is barnwood?” She gestured to some of the wood paneling in the main room where a bed sat against one wall.

“This is great, Helena.” Shane wandered back in looking around her. “It’s kinda like a giant roof stuck in the sand.” She pointed toward the far end. “The kids will sleep there then?” Helena smiled and replied,

“yeah. I mean it’s a lot more modest than the children are used to, but I know they’ll love being on the beach.”

Alice shouted in from the back porch that their food was ‘ready’. Ready, meant that the chopsticks had all been broken and boxes had been opened.  Helena was pleasantly surprised when Bette wrapped an arm around her waist as they made their way out.

“So how’d you get this place?” Jenny asked.

    1. Well that was beyond hot. I love the family scenes too (Wilson and his tea party!). Helena’s kids remind me (in spirit at least) of Edina’s eccentric offspring on Ab Fab; luckily for them, Helena’s parenting skills are considerably more evolved than Edina’s. And Tina? I always suspected she’d end up with a tofu farmer. As for the parallel-universe explanation, it’s fiction so why not? Bette and Helena rule in all three dimensions!

    2. okay, i just exhaled…and a few other things…whew…that’s about all i can say…delicious, decadent…umph! you sure don’t leave anything to the imagination…can’t wait for the next installment..,

    3. You know there is a time when words can not be express for a situation and this is that time. If I had to choose between any of your stories as my favorite, I honestly could not or would not. Thanks for taking the time to share it. When I wonder can you top your last one you always seem to come through.Terrific as always!

    4. Ive been reading your stories this past week, and I love your style of writing. I can’t wait to read the next installments.PS. Fuck Tina’s brains, off with her fucking head

    5. Gee…one plant is either one too many or not nearly enough. They keep going like that, neither one should have too many insecurities about the other. But helebette, it occurs to me that you have a real vendetta about Tina’s brains. They were eaten by zombies in “Planet Terror”, you just gave her a lobotomy in “Life Happens” and now in this one she’s dating a farmer who grows tofu(?) on what may be a cult compound, which would require the complete absence of brains. Jesus, what did she ever do to you?

    6. i really, really luv your writing, and of course the pairing of helebette, but my favorites of yours, were the ones where they have the conflicts, but have no choice but to cum together anyway, i think when they are both in full alpha mode, and trying to fight the attraction but to no avail is so damn hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
