    “Ok I get it but she called you back right…..”

    “Oh yes she called me back to inform me that it was in fact 12 times I called and was it anything important….oh and just for good measure she added that she was hanging up now as she had a lot to do….so yes Alice my fucking sunshine has completely run out of rays”

    “I’ll just get right back to work then shall I”

    “If you don’t mind that would be highly appreciated”

    Bette and Alice make short work of the packing due to the total lack of conversation and Bette decides to call it a day.

    “Alice have you seen my cell….Bette spots the previously discarded cell in pieces on the floor. “Fuck…..I’ve found it…..Alice come and put this back together for me”

    “What back together…” Bette shows Alice her cell in bits. “It’s just the battery that’s come out” Alice puts it back together in no time and switches it on.

    “Is it still working Al”

    “Hang on” The cell is working fine and Alice cannot resist opening the text from Tina. “Aw how sweet….here this should cheer you miserable little ass up”

    “What give me that” Bette grabs the phone off Alice and reads the text.

    Bette grabs Alice by the shoulders and gives her a big kiss on the cheek.

    “Thank you Alice for helping me today, you are the bestest friend ever and I need to borrow you car…”

    “Wh….”

    “Don’t argue you can get Dana to pick you up on the way back from Tina’s” Bette held out her hand, “Keys…please”

    “Ok here…but you owe me big time and I will be collecting”

    “Yeah…yeah…see ya”

    Tina’s Apartment

    Bette parks up the and steps out just to be mowed down by a bunch of kids flying past on skateboards.

    “Sorry lady”

    “Sorry Lady…”she shouts after the disappearing figures “Your mothers should have drowned you at birth” Bette picks herself up and dust herself down. “but I’m still smiling..” she mumbles.

    As she enters Tina’s apartment she still looks a little ruffled, Tina jumps up from the sofa.

    3. Ok, so it’s 12:09am, and I still have a ton of work to do. Clearly, tonight isn’t happening. In the future, Skimmer, please don’t subject me to the pressure of having Chicki check this site for my post, ok? I think I’ve wasted more of the last two hours trying to figure out if I was going to have time to write, which obviously resulted in no time to write :P Ok, back to work. I promise that I will write my next post before I go to sleep, even if it turns out the sun is rising. But only because you made me feel bad. :D XOX

    7. I’m glad you reposted this cos I don’t think I ever got the chance to read chapters 13&14. I do remember how 12 ended though. Another thing with the chance to read the chapters back to back is to see how Tina is like, a bit withholding, to say the least. Bette’s a bit cranky, yeah, but Tina’s totally passive-aggressive. Maybe once they move in together some of that will get better? I hope so, but you said there’s only one chapter left?!? :( Skimmer, that chapter better be LONG. (I’ll take what I can get though). Thanks!
