    “I take it by this you mean the sex marathon you have had us on for 3 months”

    “Yes….I mean no…..I haven’t exactly heard you complaining”

    “Do you want it in writing”

    Tina slides down the door and leans back against it.

    “What do you want Bette”

    “You really have to ask”

    “Humour me”

    “Everything”

    Bette sits down on the sofa accepting the fact that she is not going anywhere soon.

    “Thank you” Tina sighs with relief.

    “For”

    “Not running”

    “Are you prepared to meet me half way and stop hiding?”

    Tina rubs her hands over face.

    “You really want to know what I’m feeling”

    “That would be refreshing”

    “I’m confused as hell by what I’m feeling….when we are together I feel happy,

    contented, satisfied…..complete, I feel like I’m walking on air, I have constant

    butterflies …..but at the same time I also feel scared, unnerved, powerless…I feel like

    I have lost control….and your right I have used sex to mask and at the same time to

    show you……..

    “Come here”

    “What”

    “I’m not going to beg”

    Tina picks herself up off the floor and lays on the sofa and puts her head in Bette’s

    lap.

    Chapter 13

    Bette puts the breakfast tray laden with piping hot coffee and freshly prepared fruit on the dresser.

    “T….are you awake”

    “Nooooo”

    “I’ve brought you some breakfast”

    “Mmmmm…what time is it? Tina still has her head buried in her pillow.

    “About 07.30” Bette says sheepishly she knows Tina is not going to be happy but she wanted to have a serious talk with her today and was on a mission to get them both as far away from a bed or a floor or any other possible surface as possible.

    “Baby it’s Sunday…and god only knows what time you eventually let me go to sleep”

    Bette sits up on the bed and pulls the duvet back.

    “Me…I distinctly remember I was begging for you too stop”

    3. Ok, so it’s 12:09am, and I still have a ton of work to do. Clearly, tonight isn’t happening. In the future, Skimmer, please don’t subject me to the pressure of having Chicki check this site for my post, ok? I think I’ve wasted more of the last two hours trying to figure out if I was going to have time to write, which obviously resulted in no time to write :P Ok, back to work. I promise that I will write my next post before I go to sleep, even if it turns out the sun is rising. But only because you made me feel bad. :D XOX

    4. and yes, I do know it’s my fault for making promises on a public forum. But I’m going to blame it on you because… well, why not? You can’t cross the Atlantic and hurt me.

    7. I’m glad you reposted this cos I don’t think I ever got the chance to read chapters 13&14. I do remember how 12 ended though. Another thing with the chance to read the chapters back to back is to see how Tina is like, a bit withholding, to say the least. Bette’s a bit cranky, yeah, but Tina’s totally passive-aggressive. Maybe once they move in together some of that will get better? I hope so, but you said there’s only one chapter left?!? :( Skimmer, that chapter better be LONG. (I’ll take what I can get though). Thanks!
