With the light changing Tina moves forward and so does Tina’s thoughts. She once again is back to racing to find her daughter and Bette Porter is just a rock blocking her way.
The opposing pressures were building forces within Tina leaving her feeling like a coffee pot percolating away. For the life of her she never expected to be pulling up to her old home it was a dream that has faded away over time… but here she was. There hasn’t been enough time for Tina to process the different ideas clogging her mind as they exploded one thought after another. “Why was Angelica in West Hollywood? How did she meet Bette? What right does Bette think she has?”
It was while she was pulling into the driveway that Tina realized she was going to have to tell her story … her truth to Angelica. Now the real question was would Angelica listen.
The moment Tina’s rental arrived in the driveway she had it in park, exiting the vehicle. Charging towards the front door, there was no time to look around and reminisce. All the anxiety riddled searching, sleepless nights of wondering joined together with Tina’s memories of past grievances. She was ready for Bette, she would deal with her like she successfully dealt with her in the past, with ANGER. Tina intended to use her anger as a wedge that would buffer her heart from any feelings that would weaken her.
Bette heard the car door and looked out the window to confirm the sound. Vigorously shaking her hands, Bette attempted to free herself of the nervous energy that had accumulated there like static electricity clinging to a sweater. Free for the moment Bette moved towards the front door. As chance would have it Bette opened the front door at the same moment Tina began to knock. With her right fist suspended in air, Tina was caught off guard, for a fraction of a second. In this instant she openly stared at Bette, showing Bette with her eyes the lost soul within.
Bette for her part allowed a smile to cross her face at the sight of Tina. Bette’s heart could feel the harmonizing of vibrations that only comes from being in the presence of your soul mate. It was a feeling she had almost forgotten but now recognized immediately.

am I first, am I the one that is supposed to let you have it for leaving us here and knowing your not comeing back at least till Friday, Not even nice. The next holiday is christmas and that old guy santa is going to know so you better be nice. Well jewt this chapter is as brilliant as all previous chapters. Wow time for Tina to calm down n think rationally n give Bette her due in this matter. Well u r the story teller n I shall await the next chapter impatiently:)PPS

”I thought you were part of Angelica being missing.” Tina says before she doubles over in full fledge tears. ” – Its always nice to see Tina get a lot of dialogue… and maybe now she’ll get a chance to hear Bette.
I’m not a “mom”, and I can only imagine the pain and despair a mom feels losing a child. The older Bette sees; knows this fear; it’s a nice touch to have them “connect” on their own before others intrude. Good thing Tina’s job is flexible where she can work out of LA – hint, hint as to where I hope the story will end. Ha. Ha. Aloha!
Fantastic drama filled chapter, now for some calm discussion? Angelica needs a biracial mother-figure, and Bette needs someone to take care of her, right? Oh it’s never so simple. Can’t wait for more.
Tina is a hot mess. It’s not as if Bette is some ogre that will kidnap Angelica. Tina is way over the top. She ought to practice yoga. LOL. :-)

I love this Bette,she letting Tina yell and scream at her. Will be so nice when Tina finds out that Angie has not be told a thing. She will be so ashame of herself. That is a Mother for you when a child is in trouble or out of pocket. She will be sick when she finds out that Bette is so ill, Hey you thanks for posting and have a happy tomorrow.
