Window of Opportunity ch. 64
My dearest Tina,
Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your incredible family. I never knew that there were so many wonderful people in the world that could love me and I could love them as much as I have experienced in the last week. The time spent in North Carolina was by far, the most enlightening time I experienced in my life. Your parents have welcomed me and our friends as part of their family and I want you to know that I too have welcomed them into our family.
I may have initially done so for you and how much it meant to you but to have spent time with them…to see them interact with those who mean the most to us in the world and to see them love Angie completely, they are my family. I thank you for accepting me back into your life and in turn, introducing me to these wonderful people. I feel like it’s all more than I deserve.
You and I have come so far in such a short period of time. Each time I have been scared, you have been there to help make it less frightening. Each time it appeared that there was going to be an obstacle placed in our way, you have shown me the only obstacles are the ones that I place by shutting down and not communicating with you. By communicating, we have been able to work through each and every one of the obstacles that could have derailed us. Thank you for continuing to support me and believing in me.
People always say that I am the strong one in our relationship. That is so inaccurate but since they are on the outside looking in, they don’t know the true dynamics of our relationship. I know that you are the strength of us. You are the one who can see beyond the immediate unlike me. You don’t react when something happens…you are calm when I am not. You push me to be the person I need to be and are not accepting less than that. I settle because it’s comfortable. I love the strength that you possess and I am so sorry that I took it for granted in the past. I should have learned to lean on you long ago. I knew then that you would catch me just as I know now but was too proud to turn to you when I needed help. I wanted to be the one who had the persona of being the one in control of our relationship. I wanted to take care of you. I wanted to provide for you. You were more than capable without me.
I know that we complement each other. I see that so clearly now. I want to never lose focus of that. I love you completely and want to be with you for the rest of my life. During the rest of our time here, I have planned a few more things. I believe that you will be happy with them as will I. Thank you for allowing me to love you and for being the person that has shown me what love really is.
Eternally yours,
Bette
I walked out a few minutes later to find her in one of the robes with tears streaming down her cheeks. She looked so beautiful to me. I took her into my arms and held her as she regained her composure and when she did, she thanked me for taking the time to put my feelings down on paper. I hadn’t forgotten how much that meant to her. She then started helping me out of my clothes, kissing me the whole time that she was helping. We somehow made it into the bathroom without tripping as our lips didn’t seem to come apart during the short journey and the bath was just the start of a very long night of love shared between the two of us.

I see some are still interested in the grits. Hey, in Hawaii they serve rice for breakfast at McDonalds. This is an exquisite story. It brings together family, friends and the joys of having both in their lives. Finally it is summer and of course that means the scorching heat.
Continued wishes for a full nights sleep for you and I just love this story. PPS:)
NAG, you are absolutely incredible and this is one amazing story! It is as good at chapter 64 as it was at chapter 1. I really enjoy everything about this story and I’m so glad that you will be continuing it and not ending it abruptly. Can’t wait for your next installment!
Hi Nag, so glad your haveing a good time with little G. He’s so lucky to have you, Your a beautiful person outside and in. Everything toby4ever said plus I love how you put the names and places together so well, do I have to go see if there are really places in NYC, like Faces, cause that was fun. I knew you would never end this or anything abruptly. Sorry it’s so hot there but you know, thats how it is in the south. Take care my friend and Thank you. Md
** Sigh ** Sooooo romantic! Welcome back Newy – and a wonderful update! Hope you are enjoying the summer break with the little one. Looking forward to the next part…
I see Bette is in full romantic, grand gestures mode again. She’s right. Tina has always been the strong one in their relationship and when Bette relaxes and allows Tina to take control every now and then, they are happier, more at peace and secure about the future of their relationship. Thank you for this update, NAG. Hope you’ll find time to chill in the midst of the scorching heat. :>
This story is so wonderful and Beautiful. The way you write is amazing. Thank you

Yet another beautiful chapter to add to all the others, hope your baby sleeps through the night and sorry it is so hot there. Please post a new chapter soon.
Great chapter, so loving together and Bette’s letter was the highlight of the chapter, so beautiful and loving. Happy to see little G sleeping a little better for you. I cook grits all the time and I will send Rau direction for making grits. I live in Texas and my paternal family is from Louisiana so I’ve had them all my life. They’re easy to make and I love them, my children hate them. Get some rest and post when you can. Still loving the story and I just told some friends about the story. BTW everyone, L Word Season 1 will start on Logo channel June 26 at 10:00 pm.
