    Chapter 3 A Plan is Made

     

    “Why, what’s wrong?”

     

    Helena sighed “Kit, mummy has found Bette.”

     

    The room began to swim as Kit heard those words.  Then suddenly it went black.  Helena was close enough to catch her before she hit the ground.  “Kit!  Kit!”  Slowly, she walked Kit over to the couch and they sat down.

     

    Kit immediately began to stutter…“Huh, what, where…did you say you know where Bette is?  Is she all right?  Why hasn’t she tried to contact us? How did you…”

     

    Helena interrupted her “Kit, Kit, give me a minute and I will tell you everything I know.”

     

    “OK sorry but start talking!”

     

    Over the next 30 minutes, Helena recounts the story as it was retold to her.  When she finished, she looked at Kit and said “I need you to be with me tomorrow when I go to tell Tina. Mummy has arranged for the Peabody jet to take us both to Ecuador tomorrow.  After we have reunited Bette and Tina, we plan to bring you and Angie down over the weekend.”

     

    “Wait, you haven’t told that girl yet?  We have to go tell her right now.  Let’s call the girls.  We have to share this.  This is great news.”

     

    “No wait Kit.  I am afraid the shock is going to be too much for Tina and if we tell her now she will want to leave tonight.  Mummy and Dr. Roberts haven’t even talked to Bette yet.  She still thinks she is Jennifer.”

     

    “Girl, I don’t know if I can wait.  Tina has been going crazy trying to find Bette.  She deserves to know as soon as possible.”

     

    “I agree but tomorrow will be soon enough.  I want to hear from mummy before we talk to Tina.  Something may go wrong and we have to delay our plans.”  Helena hugged her friend.  “We will tell her soon Kit.  First let’s see how things go with Bette.  We also don’t need to alert the girls.  Tina and Bette will need some time to themselves before they are bombarded by the gang.  You know how Bette is and if she doesn’t get her memory back when she sees Tina they are going to need some time.”

     

    “Ok I see your point.  The poor girl has waited this long.  A few more hours won’t change anything and the gang could complicate the matter.  Ok we will go with your plan but I can’t wait for tomorrow.”  Kit and Helena made plans to talk first thing in the morning to coordinate their meeting at Tina’s.  They just prayed things were going well in Ecuador.

    8. Love it!!!! I hope that Bette takes the news well. If Bette doesn’t get her memory back she will fall in love with Tina all over again. Maybe it will take Bette alittle time but she will remember. Thank you PPVS

    12. This is a fantastic story. Just caught up with the chapters and I love the story. Hopefully when they see each other again hopefully it will trigger Bette’s memory when Bette hears that lovely southern drawl of Tinas that she loves to hear so much. And I think if they brought Angie along also and Angie yrlled Momma to Bette it would also trigger some memories for Bette. She obviously has them embedded in her heart as well deeply in her memory. Seeing and hearing them will bring her memory back. At anyrate I am so glad they are making plans to bring her back home to her family and friends. Love this story. Thanks for posting.
