“I’ll think about it, okay, Jun?” Dana asked just as Helena and Dylan walked in. An hour or two later, the others started to arrive. Before long, the condo was full, and Helena had the sushi out, the pizzas cooking, and the drinks poured. Dinner was great, and the company was good. Even Bette and Tina seemed to be getting along, and Dana was happy for it. Before too long, they’d finished eating.
Dana wound up taking Angie, Shay, Wilson and Jun-Ying into one of the spare rooms to watch moves after dinner so the adults could have drinks and visit. She lay on the bed with them, thinking over Jun-Ying’s suggestion and liking it more and more as the minutes ticked by.
Alice found her there, asleep, a couple hours later. Wilson, Jun and Shay had left the room to go play with toys, but Angie was curled up on Dana’s chest, fast asleep. Alice just stood and watched them for a few minutes, until she felt her friends behind her. “That’s absolutely adorable,” Helena murmured. Everyone just made little comments of agreement and let the two finish their nap. Bette came in and picked her daughter up about an hour later.
“Sorry,” she whispered when Dana woke up. “I’d better get her home to bed or she’ll be a bear in the morning. She hasn’t been napping much recently, so she should sleep right though.” With a smile, she kissed Dana’s cheek and left the room.
After goodbyes and promises to get together soon both as a group and on a more individual basis, everyone except Alice, Dana, and Dylan went home. They all cleaned the apartment together in companionable silence, waking the children gently and sending them to bed. Half an hour later, when the dishwasher was full and most of the mess cleaned up, Alice and Dana left for home. They turned and waved to Helena and Dylan, who were standing hand in hand in the doorway and looking like they’d been together for years.
“That was really nice. I like Dylan, even with all the shit that happened before,” Alice said softly as she drove, taking Dana’s hand.
“Yeah, it was a good time. I’m glad everyone was getting along so well.”

MT, you are good!!! Love a wise & caring Alice. The conversation w/ Tina and her comments on the radio showed the best of Alice. Nice touch also with Ruth. Love seeing Dana being with the kids. Is there one in the making for them? I suppose they have to get marrried first. Like I said before, your writing style and story line are way better than the show. Again I truly emjoyed reading this chapter. pps
Two more thoughts. 1st, Al to T, “…let bygones be bygones. Life’s way too short, okay? Trust me on that one.” Isn’t it the truth? We all should remind ourselves often. 2nd, Danish loving is always welcome especially when D is slowly getting back her health. You have A being so loving, caring and thoughtful to Dana. And Dana always reciprocated in her own way. That’s exactly why Danish should live forever.
hey girl, it’s good to be back and be able to read your story again. I’m back since 2 days and read all your updates! Great as always, I love socks btw. Great addition. I also liked Alice’s conversation with Tina. It sounded very real and just like something that would have been something good and much needed on the show. Loved all your updates! :) ps.: Are you still single btw? With a talent like this, it’s just so hard to imagine you know..
You’re right MT, I think your Danish is the archetype of a relationship!!! (I just hope my boyfriend doesn’t read this, he’d freak out!!!;)Loved Alice`s argument about the positivism, not just in health issues. It`s time for Dana to start believing in herself and just go beyond what’s expected!Thanks again MT; reading your stuff makes my working summer a bit better…So…pps!
As always, very well done. I quite like having my weekend end with a little Danish! Nice to see Alice and Tina interact once again and I really liked Alice’s radio commentary. I could almost hear it in my head. Ok we know I’m a little nuts but it was very well done. Dana having time with the kids and sleeping with the Angie was really sweet. Kudos!
Hey, you changed the last scene changed a bit. It was still great though. :) And one of these two or the two of them together in combination with Socks and children aretoo cute! As long as you keep writing them like this, I keep believing a relationship like this is possible in real life. Please, don’t burst my bubble! ;)

Thank you, MT! At the risk of repeating myself… Another excellent chapter! Loved the talk with Alice and Tina and all the Danish moments. Looks like Dana has made another advance in her recovery by admitting she is hurt and needs some help. The relationship you have written for Danish is so sweet and supportive. PPS!
loved it! i cant believe i didnt comment on your last chapter, but i totally read it and loved it too. okay so wii tennis is, possibly the most addicting thing ever, and im such a dork that when i read that you had dana playing it, i suddenly got worried that she would get hurt. see, after the first few times i played it i developed something i like to call “wii elbow”, which can be defined as intense pain in one’s wii-playing arm from being such an absolute spaz when playing wii tennis. anyway, can’t wait for your next update!
So pleasantly suprised to see this Update…Awesome as always…They have an awesome relationship, as they should, as we all should…Just wondering will there be any Gabby Devaux angst to stir the pot, I don’t know why, but I think it would be nice for Dana to put her in her place…Loved the convo with Tina, Loved Dana and the kids and of course her and Angie! I’m babbling, Once again Great Update! PPS
