    Young hearts be free tonight.

    Spencer held Ashley tight feeling anger well up inside her. She didn’t understand the rock star’s logic. How could she not see cocaine was the cause of everything bad in her life? Close to tears, Ashley told her she gave a guy a hand job for the drug, and yet, the rock star still wanted the white powder. Wanted the high that got her in so much trouble. The rock star yawning in her arms brought her back to reality. “It’s late Ash.” She urged them down on the bed, Ashley still wrapped in Spencer’s arms, “Let’s just get some sleep.”

    Paula brushed her hair in front of the bathroom mirror, glaring at any visible strands of gray, she had to chuckle at herself. She was getting old but didn’t look too bad for a grandma. Good diet and exercise, she assumed. Arthur on the other hand was starting to gain a stomach and lose the black hair she had fallen in love with. “Gray isn’t so bad on him.” She told herself turning to stare at herself from the side. She wasn’t having too much trouble keeping the weight off. “Speaking of weight,” She murmured know there were people to feed. Walking out of bathroom, she wondered what Arthur was in the mood for. He was always picky about his breakfast, hating to have the same meal two days in a row. “Eggs are out of the question.” She decided staring at her sleeping husband. His loud snores filled the room as he slept soundly on the bed. Paula envied him. He could sleep until 9, unlike herself. She got up at 5, made breakfast, and then left for work having to be at the hospital by 7. She hated the mornings.

    The older blonde stepped out of her room and headed toward the kitchen. She held her robe closer to her body as she padded down the stairs. Pancakes sounded good, she though while stepping on the cold tile floor. She fought back a shiver as she opened the pantry door and got out the pancake mix. “Just add water.” She smiled as she set it down by the stove. She walked over to the refrigerator and paused.

    2. Wow! How I have truly missed this. Such an amazing update. I can’t say enough. Love this part of their journey together. I’m glad that Ashley is getting to see that she can be a great person without the drugs. Can’t wait for more. Great writing. Very inspiring.

    5. ashley’s getting along with spencer’s family even if paula and arthur get suspicious every once in a while. i’m glad spence had ashley talk to denny maybe he won’t do any more pot and the scene where he’d said i really think she’d let you do her was hilarous my favorite scene. ash really needs to call brenda and talk to kyla not just text pms

    6. i was late to school cause i started reading at 6:00 am and stilll havnt touched my homework. but luckly getting home to read this motivated me to finish my 5 mile run for track faster

    11. This is such a sweet chapter, thanks for making so long. lol, i love the long chapters. I’m really glad Ashley is deciding to change. These two are so amazing. There’s just a ton of things I’m liking about the story. I love how Paula and Arthur actually like Ashley in this fic. Go figure. Anyway I can’t wait for the next update, i’ll be patient but it won’t be easy. XD

    12. First the smoke blowing: You are an amazing author! I wish you could just knock these posts out every week but I know good things take time and so alas I must wait, thank you though for sharing your talent.Ok, soo interesting, I get the impression that Paula is either A)passive aggressive or B) just really cool with the fact that Ashley and Spencer are seemingly together… Arthur on the other hand seems a little less like he’d be into their relationship…Time will tell I suppose.I love Denny! He’s like a male Ashley…a little more immature but I like him!Also, interesting form of therapy for Ashley…meeting a well adjusted family seems to have helped put a few things into perspective for her. Maybe she needs to stay out of LA, environment is apparently everything…or maybe what Ashley needs to do is turn her actually family into a better one. Hopefully she reconnects with Kyla and her mother, they seem to hold a meaningful soft spot in her heart.PMS PMS PMS

    13. I cannot even tell you how much I loved this update. I took time to read it (3 or 4 days) because I knew it’s gonna take a while for the next update to be posted, so I wanted to savor reading it. I love what you created between Ashley and Spencer…it’s almost something magical. Everytime I read this story I forget everything around me, no lie. (The prologue still worries me, though). I hope Ashley will manage to stay away from the drugs..she’s much better of without them. It probably is gonna take a while, but I hope you’ll update soon-ish. I’m addicted to this story. :P I really am.

    14. I swear i can never get enough of this story… im waiting for something bad to happen though, things are a little too perfect for the girls… o and i cant wait for Spence and Denny to come out to each other
