Fall From a Star – (Chapter: This Modern Love)
She closed ice box door and walked over to the window above the sink. Her eyes blinked several times not believing what they saw. Ashley Davies on her front porch in only a t shirt and jeans. Her back was to Paula but that didn’t stop the older blonde from noticing the cigarette in her hand. “Poor thing.” She said moving towards the kitchen’s exit. “She must be freezing to death out there!” She added know it was below 20 degrees outside.
Opening the front door, she stepped out side hugging her robe against herself. Ashley stood at the other end of the porch. Her eyes were far away as she slowly smoked her cigarette. Pensive and taunt, Paula was surprised the 17 year old wasn’t shivering. The rock star also failed to notice her presence. Was she that faraway in her own mind? And what was she thinking of. The older blonde stood studying the rock star. Ashley Davies was more than a mystery to her. She just knew basic information. The teen was into drugs, she preferred girls over boys, she was in a band- but the blonde knew there was something more to her. Deep wounds that went far into her skin, down to her core, and controlled her. It was so easy to see, heartbreaking, Paula couldn’t help herself. Like her daughter Spencer, she had this overwhelming urge to help her. Because without help, the drugs will have her again. Paula understood that from her sister Sherry, who Ashley reminded her of. Quiet and calm one moment, and then ready to explode the next, was that something else Ashley and her sister had in common? “Ashley.” The rock star wasn’t startled in anyway, Paula wondered if she was aware of her presence after all. “Aren’t you cold? Being from L.A. I assume you’re not use to this type of weather.”
Ashley looked at her and shook her head. “It feels good out here.” She murmured around the cigarette in her mouth. “Refreshing.” She added unable to remember the last time she felt the freezing weather so directly. She never felt anything on her skin when she was on cocaine. Standing on the Carlin’s porch, she felt alive as the hairs on her arms stood up. For some reason, the uncomfortable numbing freezing weather felt so fucking good to her. “I haven’t felt this good in awhile.” She added looking away from the older blonde. Her hand reached up and grabbed the cigarette in her hand.

ashley’s getting along with spencer’s family even if paula and arthur get suspicious every once in a while. i’m glad spence had ashley talk to denny maybe he won’t do any more pot and the scene where he’d said i really think she’d let you do her was hilarous my favorite scene. ash really needs to call brenda and talk to kyla not just text pms

heyy i commented before on this but i decided to red it again because its sooo goood!!!!!!!!!!I miss this story try to update sooon
This is such a sweet chapter, thanks for making so long. lol, i love the long chapters. I’m really glad Ashley is deciding to change. These two are so amazing. There’s just a ton of things I’m liking about the story. I love how Paula and Arthur actually like Ashley in this fic. Go figure. Anyway I can’t wait for the next update, i’ll be patient but it won’t be easy. XD
First the smoke blowing: You are an amazing author! I wish you could just knock these posts out every week but I know good things take time and so alas I must wait, thank you though for sharing your talent.Ok, soo interesting, I get the impression that Paula is either A)passive aggressive or B) just really cool with the fact that Ashley and Spencer are seemingly together… Arthur on the other hand seems a little less like he’d be into their relationship…Time will tell I suppose.I love Denny! He’s like a male Ashley…a little more immature but I like him! Also, interesting form of therapy for Ashley…meeting a well adjusted family seems to have helped put a few things into perspective for her. Maybe she needs to stay out of LA, environment is apparently everything…or maybe what Ashley needs to do is turn her actually family into a better one. Hopefully she reconnects with Kyla and her mother, they seem to hold a meaningful soft spot in her heart.PMS PMS PMS
I cannot even tell you how much I loved this update. I took time to read it (3 or 4 days) because I knew it’s gonna take a while for the next update to be posted, so I wanted to savor reading it. I love what you created between Ashley and Spencer…it’s almost something magical. Everytime I read this story I forget everything around me, no lie. (The prologue still worries me, though). I hope Ashley will manage to stay away from the drugs..she’s much better of without them. It probably is gonna take a while, but I hope you’ll update soon-ish. I’m addicted to this story. :P I really am.
I swear i can never get enough of this story… im waiting for something bad to happen though, things are a little too perfect for the girls… o and i cant wait for Spence and Denny to come out to each other
I need an update, seriously! Come on, don’t let us wait any longer…
