Falling down means you have to crawl back up – (Chapter: confessions and laughter)

“Let me help, you have helped me so much, please let me in.” Spencer now stood up to stand opposite Kyla hoping that her presence might comfort the girl.

Kyla made a mistake in looking up and seeing the orbs gazing deeply at her, there was a bang inside her as the foundations to the wall protecting her were struck. She had to get away she had to run. “I have to go.” She quickly turned but Spencer was quickly on her tail grabbing her arm and forcing her to stop and face her.

“Kyla what is going on, this isn’t you.” The blonde now had both hands on the girl’s biceps trying to make her listen.

“Spencer what do you see right now when you look at me?” Kyla broke free of the hold but did not retreat.

    “What?”

“What do you see?!” Kyla shouted this time, she did not suit the loud tone and it surprised the other person.

“You, the person who has been my rock for the past few months, you have made me laugh when I needed it. You allowed me to cry and you never judged me.” Spencer was trying to give the answer the Kyla seemed to be after.

    “Is that it?” Kyla asked.

“What do you want me to say?”

“I don’t know what I want you to say, I don’t know what I want you to do.” The brunette brought her hands up to her face and wiped a few tears that had dripped down.

“Will you please talk to me?” Spencer begged, she was more confused now then when she had arrived at the park.

“I want to give you the answer’s but I can’t.” It was the best response she could muster. “I just can’t.”

Spencer researched forward to touch Kyla’s face but the brunette jumped back as though the girls touch would burn her. The confused female felt rejected at the action and stepped back herself. “I wish I knew what was going on in your head so I could calm your thoughts.” Spencer wanted to protect the girl from anything that bothered her or anything that would hurt her. Her heart was pounded at the intense situation that was unfolding in front of her.
