“Hi, how was class?” He tried to make random chit chat hoping that it would ease into a better conversation. They needed to talk but Aiden was in no rush to have it, he waited to savour his time with Ashley knowing it was getting shorter and shorter.
“Deathly.”
He frowned at her, “deathly?”
“Yep I’m pretty sure Mr Nutt was trying to prove that boredom can actually kill.”
“That bad?” He asked with the best caring and sympatric smile he could give.
She shrugged. “Could have been worst.” She looked down at her hands that were interlinked making the effort not to meet him gaze, there was a long silence before she spoke. “I guess we need to talk.”
“Yeah, I guess we do.” The quiet washed over them again. “So are you going to start or should I.” All the girl could do was shrug again still not willing to meet her other halves eyes. “Ashley I love you, I told you at prom and the truth is I have never stopped loving you.”
“I know Aiden.” She said quickly, not capable of telling him she was in love with him, for it would have been a lie.
“My question is, are you ever going to be able to tell me?” Her dark pools finally focused on the guy sitting beside her, not sure of what to tell him. “I can wait Ash, as long as I know it’s a possibility.” There were people all around them, this would not have been her chosen location to have this conversation. “Say something to me.” He felt as if he had been waiting ages for a reply from the girl.
“Aiden I…you are more my family than my real family…” She trailed of still trying to find the right words. “I’m always going to love you so deeply.” She saw the hope raise in his eyes. “But I don’t think I’m ever going to be in love with you. I’m so sorry.”
“No.” There a breaking to his voice that caused a pain to run through her body. “I’m sorry, I should have known, I think I always knew I just didn’t want to admit to it.”
“Aiden I don’t want to lose you.” She spoke up touching his hand, trying to give him some kind of comfort.
“You’re not going to lose me Ash, I just need some time.” He shook his head as he stood up. “I have to go.” He didn’t wait to hear anything and just left her watching him. She didn’t want to hurt him, she did love him and cared about him deeply but Ashley knew that she could never give him what he really needed. The answer about her feelings for him had been the fact that she had not been able to sleep with, they got close yet never completed the act. Aiden had been patient and had not pushed her but the sexual relationship was always present in his face.
Ashley looked over to Spencer who quickly averted her eyes, the brunette knew she had been listening. Aiden had gone out of view when she felt her own eye’s sting with tears, there was no way she was allowing anyone at school to see her cry and quickly headed for the toilets. As she finally made it through the door her tears started to roll down her flushed cheeks. Ashley was about to lock herself in a cubical when she felt delicate yet strong arms grab her from behind and pull her close. She was going to pull away until she recognised the familiar aroma, turning in the embrace to face the person, she saw Spencer with her caring eyes. She considered fleeing from the girl but at that moment all she could do was fall into the girl’s arms and take comfort.

i still want spyla damn it lol. if spashley happens now, ashley’s copped it too easy. but but thank you for the dumping of aiden, finally! yay update soon please :0)
Why is that Ashley chose Aiden over Ashley in the first place? Did she feel it necessary to hurt the one “true” love in her life, Spencer, to stay with an ass like Aiden who she really never was in love with? It just doesn’t make sense. Ashley needs to tell Aiden I’m in love with Spencer and I need you out of my life FOREVER, because she is more important to me than you are. How hard could it possibly be to say that? Spencer is a great friend to Ashley, better than Ashley deserves. I agree with “jt” Ashley should have to work harder to gain back Spencer’s friendship and love. I like the idea of Spyla too. Ashley needs a little dose of her own medicine. This fic is absolutely, positively AMAZING! I look forward to seeing your updates! PMS

ok unlike the others i do NOT want spyla… lol and the aiden dumping, PERFECT… and im glad spencer went to comfort ash cuz we all know how ashley feels towards aiden and losing that sux… but spencer and ashley need to be friends first and then try to work on it… with maybe a few slip ups along the way of taking things slow… ;) so post soon, i love this fic

Very good fan fiction. You’ve managed to kill off one love triangle with Aiden, while making way for a whole new one with Kyla. Hahaha, very good job.
