Family – (Chapter: 12 ~ Bad Timing)

“You’re really gonna stay over there till they come in huh?” Ashley nods. “Fine. Be like that.” Spencer turned her head and crossed her arms. Ashley rolled her eyes and sat closer, not within arms reach though.
“Better?” All she received was a glare until she relented and scooted all the way next to the bed. She grabbed Spencer’s hand with her good one and closed her eyes, trying to prepare herself for pain. But before Spencer’s next contraction, the doctor came in.
“All right Spencer, I need you to lay on your side facing Ashley ok?” Spencer nodded and did as she was told. “Ok, I’m going to clean the area and then it’s really important that you don’t move ok? It will hurt, but if you don’t move, we can get this in the first time ok?” Again Spencer nodded and then closed her eyes. Scrunching up her face as the doctor cleaned a spot on her spine. Ashley knew Spencer hated needles, so she decided to take her wife’s mind off of it. She leaned in close and kissed her softly. Spencer kissed back, and as Ashley deepened it she moaned, kissing back just as deep. The doctor inserted the needle, and all that came from Spencer was a small whimper. “Good job, first try. Now lets kick up the drugs and see how you feel.” As they got Spencer back onto her back, Ashley laid next to her, kissing her on top of her head as she saw Spencer relax. “Better.”
“Definitely. I can hardly feel anything.”
“Well soon it will be completely numb so let’s get your catheter in before that happens.” The doctor finished up in the room and then left the girls alone.
“I’m glad you’re not in pain anymore.” Ashley said as she looked directly into Spencer’s eyes and stroked her hair.
“I bet you’re even happier that you’re not in pain anymore.”
“Who said I wasn’t?” Ashley laughed and Spencer fell asleep for a while. Ashley just watched her rest.
About an hour later the nurse came in and woke Spencer up.
“Okay Spencer, let’s see if we’re ready to get this show on the road.” She sat down and after a few seconds under the sheet, she smiled. “Looks like we’re ready. We’re gonna take you of the medicine so the contractions are going to hurt even worse than they did before.”

AWWW…that was just so precious=) I’m so glad that you updated hon. Paula will forever be the SHE DEVIL!! I’m glad Spencer finally put her in her place. Hopefully that’s the last time we see of her. PMNOW!! Pretty please!

I cant believe Paula! She’s going to miss out on her daughter and granddaughters life cause she’s so close minded! And pulling that stunt with Scott…not cool. I’m so glad they got through it though! And Spencer told her to leave! I really love this story, its so much more in depth about the girls and their lives together! PMS!

First of all, thanks for the long update. Secondly, this chapter had every emotion imaginable, joy of a beautiful baby girl, laughter when Spencer was squeezing Ashley’s hand, anger when Paula brought Scott into the picture, hatred just because Paula exists, and sheer happiness because Spencer & Ashley have now begun the journey of parenthood with the one they love. Excellent writing! PMS

OK FYI I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE NAME MY DAUGHTER’S NAME IS CADENCE ANNE AND I WANTED SOOO BAD TO NAME HER KENNEDY BUT WE DIDN’T AGREE SO WE ENDED UP NAMING HER CADENCE BUT DAAAAAAAAAAMN I LOVE THAT NAME SO MUCH.
