“Awesome. Well, I’m going to show you all the chords and stuff. It’s all easy.”

“Cool. But isn’t the show starting soon?”

“Y-eah, it kinda is.”

Spencer stood up from the couch and walked towards Madison, “That’s our queue to leave.”

Madison nodded, “I’ll see you at the show?”

Jorey walked up to her, “Definitely.” She quickly kissed Madison.

“Very reassuring” Madison smiled and followed Spencer out of Ashley’s dressing room.

Ashley turned around and grabbed her guitar, taking a seat on the couch, “So, things are good?”

“Very, actually. What about Spence and you?”

“We’re doing really well. I just bought a house here in Ohio. I figured that if she wanted to come back to her real home then we’d have a home here.”

“Is she happy about that?”

“I haven’t told her yet. I’m showing her the house tomorrow. It’s kind of a surprise.”

“That’s cool.”

“Yeah I’m excited about it. But we have to get to work on this song because the show starts in about an hour.”

“All right. Let’s go.”

Ashley quickly started teaching Jorey the song so that they would be able to perform it in less than an hour.

“So are you used to life on the road?” Madison walked beside Spencer as they tried to kill time.

“Yeah. After a few shows you get used to it. But I’m really glad that this is the last stop on Ash’s tour.”

“Ohio, of all places to be the last stop.”

Spencer smiled, “Yeah, I didn’t even know this was going to be the last stop until I saw the back of one of her souvenir t-shirts. It’s kind of like going back to the life that I left behind.” They turned down another hallway, “So, you and Jorey seem happy.”

Madison smiled to herself and seemed to think a little bit, “We are. It’s so crazy. All of it is. But it’s nice.”

“So you’re living with her in Indy?”

“Yeah, we’re staying in her dad’s old house right now. But she’s having this huge house built. We’re moving in it once it’s done.”
