“I’ve been wanting to do that for so long…” I admitted

“me too…” she said

But reality was, I had a girlfriend…and Spencer wasn’t her…I hurt Spencer real bad after that day…I would see her in school when I was with Anna, and we would be holding hands or kissing by my locker…but whenever I kissed Anna I thought of Spencer.

Before I knew it, it was new year eve and we were at Aiden’s house for a party…I was hanging out with Chad in the kitchen talking to him

“so when’d you kiss Spencer?” he asked smiling at me

“what?” I said shocked

“Ashley…come on, I know you better than anyone here…” he said

“about a week ago…” I told him

“and you’re still with Anna why?” he asked

“I love her Chad” I told him

“no you don’t…” I said

“yea, i do…” I replied

“ash…if you loved anna you wouldn’t have kissed Spencer…” he said, and he was right, but for tonight anna was still my girlfriend…at like 11:30 I went into the kitchen and saw Spencer with Aiden and Nicole and Amanda and a lot of other people doing shots…Spencer was defiantly the more drunk one out of the bunch, but she kept drinking…I grabbed her arm and pulled her away from everyone

“you gonna drink everything tonight, or save some for everyone else…” I told her

“why do you care” she said ripping her arm from my grasp

“Spencer…stop this…” I said turning her back around to face me

“stop what Ashley…why do you care ok…you have anna, go be with her” she said walking away…I whispered to myself “I care Spence…”

Then I went to go find anna around 11:56 so I would be with her when the ball dropped…aiden had MTV playing on a huge flat screen TV so that was our source of music and everything…at 11:59 I found anna because there were so many people at that party, then as soon as the clock hit 12 I put my arms around Anna’s waist and whispered into her ear “happy new years baby” then she turned around and kissed me, when she broke the kiss she said she loved me, then she went off to somewhere else in the house…I went back into the kitchen and when I passed the stairs I saw Spencer sitting there…I went to go sit by her “happy new year Spence…” I told her kissing her on the cheek
