“stop it Ashley…” she told me

“what?” I asked her

“that…do you know how hard it is not to be with you?” she told me “especially when you don’t even care…” then I tucked a piece of hair behind her ear “I care Spence…trust me I care…” she gave me a hug and put her head in the crook of my neck

“come on…I’ll take you home…” I told her, because I knew she was tired…I went to find anna to tell her I was leaving

“hey, I’m gonna take Spencer home…” I told her

“why?” she asked

“because she’s drunk and she’s my best friend ok…” I told her

“fine…bye” she said and walked away

“ugh!” I said turning and going back to Spencer…I walked her out to my SUV and opened the door for her…I took her to my house because I knew her parents would kill her if she were drunk…so I laid her in my bed and looked at her, she looked so calm, so beautiful…I moved a piece of hair from her face and kissed her cheek…she woke up when I started to walk away

“what was that for?” she said in a groggy voice…I turned around and looked at her

“goodnight?” I said

“where’s Anna?” she asked

“I don’t know…I don’t really care either…” I said

“well that’s not like you…” she said

“yea well…she doesn’t like you, so I don’t know if I can deal with that…” I told her smiling…

“why do you do that Ashley…”

“do what?”

“act like you like me, then go back to your girlfriend…it hurts…a lot” she said

“I cant help but act like that when I’m around you Spence…if I didn’t it would be a lie…” I admitted to her, I had feelings for Spencer, it’s just, with anna I feel like I have to give her that attention because she has the label of being my girlfriend

“Ashley…I uh…I…” she was deciding whether to tell me what she wanted to tell me or not… “you what Spence…” I asked her, she didn’t respond then I just looked at the ground “ok…well I’m gonna go sleep on the couch…” I told her walking away
