“I wanted you to know how much I loved you.”
“Well mission accomplished,” I joked, grinning. “Um… not to kill the mood, but would you mind if I just called my mom really quickly?”
“Of course not,” she said. I took a step towards my bag but felt her arm pull me back. She kissed me, briefly but lovingly. “Sorry… I had to.”
“You don’t have to apologize,” I promised. She went into the kitchen so I could have some privacy. I dialed my mom’s number; it rang 3 times before she picked up.
“Hello?”
“Hey Mom.”
“Hi Spencer.”
“How are you feeling?”
“Alright,” she replied. It was the answer she always gave, unless she was feeling better for some reason. “So, I take it you found out about our little plan?”
“Yeah, I did. How long did you know?”
“Well, Ashley contacted me a little over a week ago, asking for a copy of my medical files. So she explained the situation and I think it sounds like a good idea. I just want to look around the facility and speak with some of the people on it, just to be sure,” she explained.
“Have you ever heard of the treatment?”
“No, but I’ve heard of Dr. Cohen. He’s a highly respected oncologist… probably one of the top few in his field.”
“That’s good, then.”
“Yes, it is,” she replied.
“Mom, have you said anything to Ashley? You know, to thank her?”
“I have,” she said. “Many times. She’s paying for this, all of it… even my flight to New York. Did you know that?”
“No, but I kind of figured.”
“I know I’ve never… I’ve never given her a fair chance. But it’s going to change. I mean… despite how I’ve… treated her, she’s… she’s saving… my life,” my mom said; I could hear she was crying. “I’m… I’m so ashamed of myself.” I had never heard my mother like this before. Not that she didn’t deserve to feel ashamed, after everything she’d done.
“Mom, it’s okay,” I tried to comfort her. After a few moments she regained her composure.
“Honey, I’m sorry, I have to go. I have a doctor’s appointment in a little while. But I’ll see you soon.”
After the phone call, I went to the kitchen to find Ashley standing, reading a magazine on the counter. I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist, kissing the side of her neck.
“I take it that went well?”
“Yeah. She was really thankful… she even started crying.”
“Really?”
“Yup,” I replied. “I don’t think I could ever thank you enough for doing this.”
“Don’t worry about it. As long as you know that I love you… that’s enough,” she said.

Wow, that is abosolutely amazing. I am sooo in love with Ashley right now! And I love the fact that she is a millionaire and can do whatever the hell she wants! lol, I love your story. I hope to see you post more soon! P.S – I’m sure this has already been covered, but the public does know spencer is with ash right? I mean i know that kid at her school called her out, but…does like, everyonce else know and recognize spencer too??
awwwww, it made me cry. LOL loved it, but I can sense the drama coming with that girl that Spencer almost slept with, so Im enjoying this while I can . LOL Keep up the great work PMS

very….very…very very good, excellent, cant find a good enough word to describe it. It is so very cute! I like how they were all like…no kissing, but then after the amazing suprise, they were all…kissy. lol
And the Gonna’ Get Some Soon Award goes to (envelope please): Ashley Davies! That’s right Ashley! Go ‘head and get your woman! Nonetheless Kozmic, I’m not completely convinced that it’s time for me to emerge from my SON bunker. So, if you don’t mind, I’ll just peek out. High-5 for this fantastic chapter. Please post soon.
