“Who says that we have a history?” Madison’s voice was filled with disgust.
“We do have a history. I didn’t know that you were friends with her until Ash told me where you were.”
Jorey shot out an idea, “Yeah, well um…how about we all go together. Ya know, as friends? Have a good time?”
“Works for me. What do you think Madison?”
“I-I guess.”
“Alright how about we all meet there at say, seven?” Aiden asked.
“Works for me. Madison, could you pick me up?”
Madison’s eyes changed. “Yeah, I can.”
It was settled. They would all go to Grey, together. Jorey was happy but saddened at the same time. She wanted to get to know Aiden, but she didn’t want to hurt Madison in the process. It was going to be a very “give and take” night.
When sixth period rolled around Jorey knew that Spencer was going to ask her about what happened. She just didn’t know what exactly to say. She was attracted to Aiden. But what was Madison? Was she really just a friend?
“Psst. Hey Jor, Aiden asked you to Grey tonight?”
Jorey looked over at Spencer, “Yeah. But conflict happened. So we’re not going together.”
“What do you mean you’re not going together?”
“I didn’t know at the time that Madison and him had a history.”
“So? Aiden and Ashley have a history. Even Aiden and I have a history.”
Jorey cocked her left eyebrow up, “I’m not about to ask.”
Spencer laughed, “Please don’t. It would take too long to explain.”
Jorey became serious again, “Its just…I don’t know. Madison’s never had a real friend before. I’ve been talking to her, getting close to her, and she opened up to me.”
“Are you sure that you want to be friends with her? Just the other day you were plotting revenge.”
“That’s just it, I don’t understand why I care so much. I can’t explain it.”
Jorey didn’t know it but at that moment Spencer knew what was going on. She had gone through the same thing with Ashley. But that was something that Jorey had to figure out on her own, “Well, looks like tonight will be interesting.”

I’m really into this story…I love stories where Madison is an actual human being. Nobody can be as bitchy as she is without using it to cover something…please don’t turn Madison back into the queen bitch. I like her this way!!!! Keep it up!
