Project New Girl – (Chapter: An audience with Julian)

Aiden then came up with a blinding bit of psychoanalysis that I would almost have been impressed by if he wasn’t barking up completely the wrong tree. He thought that I was jealous of Spencer, for the simple reason that since the beginning of time I’d always been the only female in the creative department, and then suddenly all of that was changed by her arrival, particularly as she was getting everyone’s attention as she worked very hard to prove herself. I agreed that subconsciously that must be the case, which resulted in him giving me an understanding nod and leaving me to my work. It at least got him off my back for a while as I continued to cook up more devious plans to belittle Spencer in every way I possibly could. My plans backfired, however, when first thing on Monday, February 16th, my presence was demanded in Julian’s office.
As I waited for Carrie to usher me in to see Julian, I readied myself for what was most likely going to be the biggest bollocking of my life, and couldn’t help but feel like a naughty child waiting to be called into the principal’s office. I busied myself by focusing my attention on Carrie as she worked hard to avoid my gaze, thriving off the discomfort I was causing her. She was typing up some random crap that left me in no doubt that it was of no worth whatsoever – typical PA stuff – but my presence was causing her to make so many mistakes she was hitting ‘backspace’ more frequently than any letter on the keyboard. I smirked, allowing my eyes to wander ever so obviously, and oh so painfully slowly, over her figure. She visibly shrunk before me, trying to hide herself from my searing eyes as I slowly scanned every inch of her. I didn’t really take in any of what I was seeing – I was concentrating more on her reaction to my actions than her physical attributes… besides, I’d seen them all already… tasted them already. I was pulled from my game, however, when Spencer sauntered by me and smiled warmly at Carrie, earning her an equally friendly smile in return. I felt a tug in my chest and immediately resented them both even more, particularly when Spencer came to a halt in front of Carrie’s desk and proceeded to engage her in actual conversation. I could see the broad grins on their faces, the playful expressions, the gentle laughter they shared as they bantered, and I couldn’t remember a time when I had felt more jealous of anyone or anything. Carrie must die!

So I came over to this site, just thinking I was going to comment, and I ended up reading this chapter over again. For some reason, I always end up reading your posts more than once. I think that’s the sign of a great piece of writing: when every time you read it, you get a little something more out of it.great update, as always. i think these next few chapters are going to be very telling.post again soon! (i’m needy, i know)
ohmg. i love you. ew that pig julian, but hes a character i would love, ha cuz i love the unexpected. haha anti carrie, but you have to do what you have to do. spencers as big as a jerk as she was, deserves more than a PA. and Ashley..needs to knock this pitch outta the water and either realize shes loves spencer, or get over her already. haha god i love you, and i want more now. make my new year a good one ;]
Ashley and Spencer are so going to realize they still love each other while working on this project. Great update, PMS!
aww you mentioned me! i feel so very special now!! thanks bannerman, you’ve certainly brightened up my new years. now as for this story. i LOVE it! and maybe working with spencer will get ash and her back together. cuz we all know how effing aamzing that would be! haha um yeah, basically i hate what julian did. because thats what ALL bosses do! confuse the fuck out of you then suck up to you to do something for them, and since you’re so confused you’re like ok sure why not haha. very nicely done!! i love your writing style. just enough details so you get the full effect of whats going on and not enough to bore the reader.
Yeah MAN! Nice post. I’m loving it and I hope that Ashley seriously gets ALL of her priorities straight. She needs to realize that Spencer is what she needs in her life and that Carrie needs to be smushed like a bug beneath her shoe! Haha. I love this. Update soon, would ya? Love you Man!

wow ash really need to be mature and professional for a month and a half with spencer to get the huge project! that’s gonna be interesting seeing ash behave and all. i know she has the right to do what she’s doing now but shouldnt she get a straight answer from spencer on what really happen first? and two of them working together late at night… sparks will surely fly and emotions all stirred up. hmm so cant wait for that!!
