    Chapter 3.

     

    Spencer watched the small brunette closely. She couldn’t imagine life without her own parents, and wondered how Ashley could accept it so easily. “Why didn’t you go?” Spencer asked curiously.

     

    Ashley chuckled humorously. "Well, my then gir- um partner was a selfish ass.” She snarled. “Had a problem with me going out alone with friends much less out of the state.”

     

    Spencer nodded her head in understanding. Most of the boys here are very possessive too. She internally mused. “I take it he was the jealous type.” Ashley just nodded her answer. “What’s his name?”

     

    “Madison.” She groaned out painfully. “Sh- He was, um, very possessive and stupid so I broke it off with….him, not long after my Dad left.” She took a sip of her coffee. “What about you? Found your special someone yet?” She changed the subject, deciding she wasn’t ready to come ‘out’, again, yet. She still didn’t know Spencer well, so she wasn’t sure how the small Blonde would react to her being gay. She came out to her friends and parents two years ago. Her friends weren’t too surprised, and her parents still loved her. Her mother told her she had found lesbian porn on Ashley’s laptop the week before, and had reluctantly accepted her daughter’s sexual orientation, but treated her daughter like the plague after Ashley came out. They only ever saw each other at breakfast, and even then things were tense. Her father on the other hand couldn’t have been more excited. ‘Now I won’t have to worry about some pierced teenaged boy knocking you up’ were his exact words to Ashley’s declaration. They soon started checking out girls together, and Raife even let her hang out with him, and the boys, at his favorite biker hangout.

     

    "No, well yes, no, um. It’s complicated but there is sort of this guy I’m seeing. His name is Tommy Carson and he’s the quarterback for our football team. We date on and off a lot. Right now we’re sort of on. That is until he does something stupid." she answered, “He’s sort of known as the biggest groper alive.” She blushed. “I, um, when I don’t let him get too comfortable with me we end up fighting then breaking up. It’s not long before he brings me flowers and we end up giving our relationship another shot.”
