I pulled out the outfit Kaylen recommended.  Thank God I had stopped sweating.  I washed my face again in the small sink I had in my loft and put on some very low key eyeliner and lip gloss.  I hardly ever wore make up, but a little every now and then wasn’t too bad.  I looked in the mirror.  Kaylen did good.  I was slipping on my last black sandal when there was a knock at the door.

“Come in Grandma, I will be right down” I yelled as I grabbed a phone and house keys off the bed.  I noticed half way down the stairs that it wasn’t my grandma standing in the entry, but Ashley.  She was looking at the picture of me and Chance that my mom had taken this summer.  She turned around when she heard me coming down.  She was wearing a stunning dark green slip dress.  I felt my mouth go dry.

“Hey, Sorry I just let myself in.” She said smiling.

I stopped at the kitchen counter.  I had to keep something between us at all times tonight.  At no time was I to get with in a five foot radius of her for fear of loosing my self control.

“I was just looking at this picture.  The expression on your face is so deep, so caught up in a moment.  Is this your favorite horse that is with you?”  She asked

God, if she only knew that it was some form of her that I was thinking about in that picture.

“Oh, Chance.  Yes he is my favorite, but he actually belongs to one of my dad’s clients.  I was just the one training him for the summer.  I wish he was mine!” I replied.

She nodded.  I notice that she was letting her gaze drift slowly over me.  Jesus, this was going to take so much self control.

“So uh…are Ellen and my grandma waiting? I asked…anything to get her focus off me.

“Oh sorry, no.  They left already.  They took their own car since they are going to play pinochle with the ladies group after dinner.  So I offered to pick you up and bring you back after.” She replied.
