The King High Killer – (Chapter: Chapter 13, Friday the Thirteenth; Halloween)

“Can I see the text?” Ashley asked instead of answering Glen’s question. The boy looked confused but handed over his cell all the same. Ashley quickly found the text but furrowed her brow as she read it.

“What?” Glen asked, observing the brunette’s puzzled expression.

Ashley shook her head, not exactly sure what felt off about the text but closed the phone and gave it back to the boy. “Are you going to school?”

Glen shrugged and ruffled his disheveled hair. “Wasn’t planning on it.” Ashley nodded as her eyes lifted to the picture that was framed on the opposite wall—the same picture that she had in her house as well.

“I miss her every single day.” Glen breathed out, looking up at the photo of his parents and Ashley’s. “What I wouldn’t give to have her back.”

“I know. I miss my dad so much.” The brunette whispered, mesmerized by sight of the four smiling faces.

Glen chuckled and shook his head. “Man, your dad loved Halloween.” Ashley laughed as well and allowed a smile.

    “It was his favorite day.”

“Any word on Christine?” Glen asked delicately. He missed the older brunette too. Christine hadn’t really been around after Raife’s death but she had been like a second mother to him throughout the years. But after her husband’s death, the woman became cold and neglectful.

Ashley just shook her head, silently observing the sill-framed shot of her mother who looked so happy. “I’m sure she’s just partying or something stupid like that, Ash.” Glen soothed, throwing an arm around the brunette to try and comfort her.

“Know what we should do today?” Ashley finally asked after the pair had had their fill of looking at the picture of their young parents. “We should just stay here and watch scary movies all day.” Glen grinned and bounced to his feet.

“That’s an awesome idea. It can be a tribute to Raife.” Ashley smiled sadly and nodded. It was a tricky situation though. There was no power in the house so they had to rotate laptops: Glen’s, Arthur’s, Spencer’s, Marie’s, and finally Ashley’s. A movie a laptop.

Between Glen’s collection and Ashley’s, the pair had a fairly entertaining horror movie marathon going. The started with Halloween, branched out with Psycho, worked their way up to the Exorcist, came back down with Hocus Pocus, and took a break after Halloween two.

    1. DUDE. I checked this site obsessively all damn day yesterday! Nice ending, super epic. I like that it was 31 days too. SHIT that was awesome. New story soon mk? My 2 suggestions are as follows: not a year long and ummm more sex. KTHXBYE!

    2. I am literally physically exhausted from reading these last 3 chapters. So much excitement and drama. I knew it was Marie, the Glen and Kyla part threw me for a whirl but I knew Marie was behind it. This story was amazing and kept you guessing from beginning to end. The love and devotion that Spencer and Ashley had for each other was amazing. Marie was the perfect villan. The only part that made me think that it wasn’t her for a minute was when she was showing ginuwine concern for Ashley. This was an intense read from beginning to end and it sucks that so many people were killed because one woman was so sick in the head that she plotted the murders of so many teens. Gays, outcasts, and a single mother, and a kitchen worker who was friends with Ashley. You are an amazing writer. I would pay to read your work any day. I adored this story even in all the craziness that occured. This was a job well done.

    3. PS woah I was watching last week’s episode of House and BAM there’s Gabrielle Christian as a special guest. Haven’t seen her in any tv since South and I had been picturing her all afternoon while reading your story and then there she is! So unexpected!
