“And who are you going to the dance with tonight, Casanova?”
“Just a friend.” Glen dismissed, throwing a few burgers on the grill and taking out toppings.
“A friend, huh? This ‘friend’ have a name?” Glen rolled his eyes as he sliced up a tomato.
“I’m going with Kyla.” He huffed out.
“O
ui la la, Glen. Maybe tonight you’ll finally lose your virginity.” She said, laughing out loud by the boy’s wide eyes.
“I’m not a virgin!”
“Yeahhh, right, Glen. I’ve never seen you with a girl once.”
“Whatever. We’re just going as friends.” His face flushed as he hastily chopped up some lettuce.
“So you like this Kyla Woods, eh?”
“We’re just friends.” He repeated, his chopping getting a little sloppier.
“I see I’ve hit a nerve. So come on, spill, what’s the deal with you two?” Glen rolled his eyes again before putting his knife down and turning to face Ashley who was sitting on top of another prep station.
“She like, has a million family stuff going on and she’s not interested in anything more than a friendship.”
“Well that’s bullshit.”
“Whatever, it’s not really the right time for me either; I have school and basketball to focus on.” Ashley scoffed.
“Is that you or Marie talking?”
“Lay off my aunt, Ash. She’s done a lot for us, and you.” The brunette scoffed again as she watched Glen flip the burgers.
“Yeah right, what the hell has she done for me?”
“Besides making sure Christine sends a check every month and gave you a job…um…let me think…” Glen added sarcastically, tapping his spatula against this chin in mock thought.
“What? Marie didn’t give me this job, Arthur did.”
“He was happy to go along with it, but it was my aunt’s idea. They both love you a lot, Ash, my whole family does…and did…” Glen trailed off, his thoughts on Paula. Ashley too, was quiet, thinking over what Glen just told her. Suddenly Glen stopped what he was doing and slowly turned around to face the brunette, a wide smile on his lips.
“You wanna make this marathon a little more interesting?” He asked before wiggling his eyebrows.

PAGES! Not days. Sorry, the epicness of the story has got me all befuddled.
I am literally physically exhausted from reading these last 3 chapters. So much excitement and drama. I knew it was Marie, the Glen and Kyla part threw me for a whirl but I knew Marie was behind it. This story was amazing and kept you guessing from beginning to end. The love and devotion that Spencer and Ashley had for each other was amazing. Marie was the perfect villan. The only part that made me think that it wasn’t her for a minute was when she was showing ginuwine concern for Ashley. This was an intense read from beginning to end and it sucks that so many people were killed because one woman was so sick in the head that she plotted the murders of so many teens. Gays, outcasts, and a single mother, and a kitchen worker who was friends with Ashley. You are an amazing writer. I would pay to read your work any day. I adored this story even in all the craziness that occured. This was a job well done.
PS woah I was watching last week’s episode of House and BAM there’s Gabrielle Christian as a special guest. Haven’t seen her in any tv since South and I had been picturing her all afternoon while reading your story and then there she is! So unexpected!
