    Ignorance is bliss but the truth is hell

    Things were too precarious, too dangerous, too fucking much. The only thing they could pin down as real and solid was that there was still something between them that was fighting viciously to bring them back together. Was it fate? Well Dano didn’t believe in fate for the most part, it took away personal responsibility and that was just stupid. Madison never really thought about it, but if you asked her, she’d probably say no as well. Nothing, no outside forces like stars or whatever pulled her strings like a puppet. It was all her. Which was why every decision had to be made with every possible consequence in mind that would/could happen in the future. Like pieces on a chess board, she planned ahead.

    She was by no means a clairvoyant. There was no 3rd eye or crystal ball she used to get a definite reading on what would happen but there were always possibilities that needed to be considered, and that was the key to Madison’s success. Planning and manipulation.

    Madison was a girl who loved power, but she wasn’t as callous as she crafted her persona to be and no one knew that as well as Dano. So in a moment of weakness, vulnerability, and need, she took off her seatbelt, leaned over and kissed Dano on the cheek. It was longer than it should have been and she wanted so much to just feel their lips pressed together, just once more, but something made her pull away and get out of the car. Leaving a dumbstruck teenager to deal with what just happened and decipher whatever the hell that kiss meant.

    In all honesty, Dano had no fucking clue. She watched with confused eyes as Madison shut the door and made her way to the quad until she was out of sight. Her hand went to the place where those lips had been just moments before and realized that her cheek was fairly warm. Of course, she had to look into the rearview mirror and found that she was blushing like an idiot. She scowled at her reflection and pulled out of the parking-lot, more disconcerted than ever.

    The rest of her day was spent making phone calls and going to houses to make sure that certain people would be at the meeting tomorrow, the important people. The lieutenants and their second in command. The Southside Devil’s Renegades was a big gang, too big for one person to keep track of all of its members individually, so there were subsets of crews who all reported back to Dano, and Dano reported back to Gideon. She was the Colonel and he was the General and those 10 lieutenants who she checked up on that day were apart of a family that had been around for several years.

    2. first i must say that i absolutly LOVE you for posting more than 1 or 2 pages…totally rockin’ of you….and this was such a great post…dano and gideon fighting sadly reminded me of me and my older bro…we get down like that too…but it was really good…and I KNEW madison was gonna kiss dano…one way or another…ohhh the next post is gonna be so SWEET!
