    Ignorance is bliss but the truth is hell

    “Fuck.” the taller girl muttered under her breath.

    “What did I say about swearing?” her mother reprimanded her in Hebrew.

    Dano rolled her eyes and said “Sorry.” before she moved to leave the kitchen.

    “When’s Ashley and her girlfriend getting here?”

    Stopping at the doorway, she looked back to find an expectant look on her mother’s face. “When did I say that Spencer was her girlfriend?” she asked amusedly.

    “You didn’t but I know her and she wouldn’t just bring anyone over to meet us.”

    “Good call. She’ll be here round 7 or so.” Without waiting for a reply, she headed out the door and down the hallway to the room at the very end, Gideon’s room. Rubbing the back of her neck in nervousness, she knocked on the door.

    “Come in.” she heard his muffled voice answer.

    Twisting the knob, she let herself in and closed the door softly behind her. Sitting with his back to her, he looked like he was doing work which he probably was. Being 2 years older than her, Gideon was still in school at Westview High and on the honor roll, she was too before she got shipped off to juvie.

    “Sit down, I just have to finish this real quick.” he said distractedly as his fingers feverishly pushed down on the keys of his laptop.

    She grabbed the fold out chair from the corner and took a seat, mind racing a mile a minute as she tried to remember how she was going to say everything in order to lesson the impact. They were brother and sister, they loved each other, but for too long it had been more of a business relationship than the familial bond it was supposed to be and she hated it. There were reasons as to why but they were so stupid and it was wearing down on them both. The problem was they were both to proud to yield and so they would keep treating each other the same way they had been so far.

    “Alright.” Gideon said as he closed his laptop and turned around in his chair. “Tell me everything from the beginning and don’t sugar coat or lie to me Dano because I know more than you think I do.”

    2. first i must say that i absolutly LOVE you for posting more than 1 or 2 pages…totally rockin’ of you….and this was such a great post…dano and gideon fighting sadly reminded me of me and my older bro…we get down like that too…but it was really good…and I KNEW madison was gonna kiss dano…one way or another…ohhh the next post is gonna be so SWEET!
