    Ignorance is bliss but the truth is hell

    As she finished up the last call, it was already 5 pm and she decided she might as well go home and get the screaming match over with. In an attempt to calm herself down, she turned on some Esthero and let her smooth voice sooth her nerves. She would have to fight for Ashley and try to get as much energy out of her older brother as possible so that he’ll just roll over and give in. The fact that he loved the spunky brunette like his own sister definitely helped the situation, he treated her better than he treated his own sister but there was another reason for that and she really didn’t want that to come up during the course of the night.

    Pulling into her driveway, she found his black Acura TSX was already there including their mother’s blue Hyundai Elantra. She took a deep breath and got out of the car to walk to her front door and push it open. Her nostrils were assaulted by the smells of food being prepared and she silently gave herself a high-five for remembering to tell her mother of the extra guests. Of course her mom was happy to see Ashley again and more than intrigued by her ‘friend’ coming over to join them. Dano had ducked and dodged questions about Spencer and only told her that she was a very good person.

    “Ima I’m home.” she called out as she kissed her fingers and then pressed them to the Mezuzah on the door post.

    “We’re in the kitchen!” a voice responded.

    Walking through the short hall, she made a right turn past the dining room and into the kitchen where her mother and little sister were making dinner. She walked over to the two and gave them quick kisses on the cheeks, receiving a gagging sound from the shorter girl which earned the kid a small noogie to the top of her head. “So what’s for dinner?”

    “Fried chicken, green beans, black eyed peas, and corn on the cob.” her mother casually replied.

    “Nice.”

    “How’s your eye doing?”

    “Better Ima thank you.”

    “Gideon wanted to talk to you as soon as you got in,” Her little sister told her as she shook the bag of chicken in flower. Nessa, the youngest Bearclaw at 14 years old, had her mothers green eyes and a light dusting of freckles that covered the bridge of her nose and the tops of her cheeks. She wasn’t that much shorter than Dano and she looked just like her older sister and brother but her features leaned more towards her mother. However, where Dano kept her attire baggy, Nessa enjoyed tight jeans and shirts that exposed her mid-section. “And he looked kinda pissed.”

    2. first i must say that i absolutly LOVE you for posting more than 1 or 2 pages…totally rockin’ of you….and this was such a great post…dano and gideon fighting sadly reminded me of me and my older bro…we get down like that too…but it was really good…and I KNEW madison was gonna kiss dano…one way or another…ohhh the next post is gonna be so SWEET!
