    A Surprise

     

    “Go On.” Tina said. She marveled at how grown up her little girl had become and at how comfortable Gillian was talking about Sex with her.

     

    “Just tell Bette not to worry about me. We’ll just institute a knock first policy. She won’t scare me or anything if I walk in on you guys making out or something. That doesn’t mean that I do want to see you guys doing anything but a little PDA never hurt anyone.” Gillian said hoping of the desk. Tina didn’t know what to say.

     

    “I’ll pass the message on.” Was all she think of.

     

    “Good. What time did Dad say he would be here to get me?” Gillian asked.

     

    “two.” Tina said.

     

    “I better go finish getting ready.” Gillian said.

     

    “Okay.” Tina said.

     

    Tina went back to work. She paused only to see Gillian off.

     

     

     

    New York

     

    The West Village Brownstone was buzzing with caters and people setting up for the nights dinner party. Gillian and Helena were hanging in their room. It was one of two rooms off limits for the party.

     

    “Hey Gillian do you want to go riding with me?” Helena asked.

     

    “Sure. I don’t know how much more PDA from dad and Peggy I can stand.” Gillian asked.

     

    “Tell me about it.” Helena said. The two changed into their riding clothes.

     

    “Where are you two going?” Peggy asked.

     

    “Riding Mummy. Would you like to go?” Helena asked.

     

    “I wish I could. Maybe we could all go tomorrow.” She said.

     

    “Okay.” Helena said. The two girls set out. One of the fleet of Peabody cars were waiting to drive them the hour it would take to get the stables.

     

    “So you two seem to be getting along better.” Gillian said.

     

    “Yes. Let’s just say that you father has done wonders for our relationship.” Helena said.

     

    “What do you mean?” Gillian asked.

     

    “Before she was so busy she rarely had time for us but he has made her slow down and take the time to enjoy life. I finished with University a couple months ago. I guess we just have more time together. I see now that it wasn’t her idea that she stick my brother and I in boarding school she was just doing what she thought was best.” Helena said.

    4. okay im slow when it said surprise and i thought that when tina said b in n.y.i thought tina was surprising bette in n.y. oh well its a chance for gillian/bette to talk without mommy around.p.p.s. charm we love it

    8. Love the twist of this story. It is so nice to see Bette and Tina communicating and getting to know one other. Although, I know the drama will come!!!

    9. So now that Gillian has spied Bette will she now hang with the older generation and keep her eye on Bette? Does the job offer entail moving? Can’t have that if the girls can’t be together.

    11. wow Gillian is a bit young at 14 to hang out with Helena and is her father sure Tina wouldn’t mind or did Helena make that stuff up…and what is Bette gonna say about it???? Did Bette know she was going to T’s exs place??? Seems a bit strange that she didn’t cotton on…anywayz enjoying this and look forward to the next instalment, Thanks. Happy New Year.
