“Don’t worry I will.” Bette said.
“Good. I’ll let you go take your shower then.” Tina said.
The two hung up and Bette headed back to the bathroom.
The Peabody Brownstone
Gillian and Helena got dressed with only one slight argument about who was getting the bathroom first.
“Girls are you almost ready?” Leo asked standing on the outside of their door.
“Yeah Dad. Almost.” Gillian said looking at herself in the mirror.
“Speak for yourself.” Helena said.
“The guests are starting to arrive so whenever you get dressed come on down.” He said.
“Okay. I’ll help Helena sort out her clothing crisis.” Gillian said smiling at Helena who was tossing clothes out of the closet left and right.
“It’s not funny. Help me pick something out.” Helena said.
“Just wear what you have in your hand.” Gillian said.
“What this dress.” Helena said.
“Yeah. It looked great on you when you wore in LA.” Gillian said.
“Oh All right.” Helena said pulling it on and brushing it out.
“So we have to stay down there all night.” Gillian said.
“No. We’ll just go and mingle. We can probably sneak up here after a little mingling. That’s the way it usually works. Then back down for dinner. Then hopefully I can get out the house tonight.” Helena said.
“So that’s what’s got you all worked up.” Gillian said.
“What?” Helena said touching up her make up.
“You’ve got a hot date tonight.” Gillian said.
“No well maybe. It’s just going to be a couple of us going to this club. Which reminds me would you like to go?” Helena asked.
“Me? Are you kidding? My mom would flip not to mention my Dad will definitely say no.” Gillian said.
“Listen I asked him this morning if he minded you going out with us as long as I watched you and made sure you didn’t do anything you were supposed to.” Helena said.
“What’d he say?” Gillian asked.
“He said you might as well. You go when you are back home” Helena said.
“How does he know that?” Gillian asked.
“Your mom told him.” Helena said.
“That makes sense. Hey wait How are you going to get a 14 in a club?” Gillian asked.
“I know the owner. It’s more of a bar any ways. One of my friends is in the band. As long as you don’t drink you’ll be okay. So do you want to go?” Helena said.
“Sure.” Gillian said.
“Great. Let’s be ready to go at 10.” Helena said.
“What should I wear? Back home we just wear Jeans and a T-shirt and the place we go.” Gillian said.
“That’s what I am wearing.” Helena said.
“Hey guys mum is going to blow a gasket if you don’t come on.” Henry, Helena’s brother, said.
“We’re coming.” Helena said opening the door.
The girls joined Henry out on the balcony that over looked the living room.
“Shit.” Gillian said.
“What?” Helena asked.
“You know I was telling you about my mom’s new girlfriend.” Gillian said.
“Yeah?” Helena said.
“She standing down there talking to Peggy.” Gillian said making eye contact with Bette.

love this story… so gal you didn’t make helena go crazy when she first met bette… what will gillian do now… i hope she talks to her… and doesn’t run away… too bad tina didn’t fly to NY to surprise bett… please continue soon

Love the twist of this story. It is so nice to see Bette and Tina communicating and getting to know one other. Although, I know the drama will come!!!
So now that Gillian has spied Bette will she now hang with the older generation and keep her eye on Bette? Does the job offer entail moving? Can’t have that if the girls can’t be together.

wow Gillian is a bit young at 14 to hang out with Helena and is her father sure Tina wouldn’t mind or did Helena make that stuff up…and what is Bette gonna say about it????
