    Author Notes:

    Bette and Tina plan charity events, Alice stays drunk, Shane mumbles, Dana breaks balls, and good stuff happens with Helena.

    “Now you really need to go into work today, all right?” Dana rubbed Alice’s arm kindly. Alice pouted and nodded, enjoying the attention for the time being.

     

    “Yes, yes, must be serious. Must get things done. Must get…” She looked for help at Dana’s serious face. “organized?”

     

    “yes, that’s right.” Dana nodded and smiled. Just then, Shane stumbled into their view.

     

    “Hello darling.” Alice waved at her as she came up the walk toward them.

     

    Shane mumbled something in return, fumbling to light her cigarette. Another lay in wait behind her ear. Alice reached out and lit the first one for her.

     

    “Cheers.” Shane smiled drunkenly. “Are we off then? Lunch at Sway?”

     

    Alice nodded vigorously.  

     

    Dana let out an exasperated sigh. “Alice! You told me you were going into work today!”

     

    “Well I am, darling, but I do have to eat lunch sometime don’t I?” Alice rolled her eyes. “And what about you?” Her tone had completely changed now that Shane was around. “Don’t you have to go hit it with Steffi Graf or something?”

     

    Shane snickered. “Hitting it with Steffi Graf, is she? That’s fantastic.”

     

    Dana threw up her hands angrily. “Guys, I’m really nervous about this! And I’m not hitting it with her, I’m just hitting with her!”

     

    Alice and Shane exchanged confused looks. “What?” Shane mumbled. “What?” Alice repeated. “What’s the difference? Anyway, who is Steffi Graf?” Shane wanted to know.

     

    Alice tried to help. “Shaney, she’s that German player, with the legs and the gay bald man on her arm.” She turned again to Dana. “But isn’t she old or something?”

     

    “Yes, well she is retired.” Dana smiled shyly before getting up and walking back inside their flat. “But she requested to hit with me…”

     

    Shane and Alice exchanged a long, smirking look and followed Dana inside. “ooooooooo.” They hovered behind Dana, tugging her hair and poking her in the back. “She asked for you did she? She requested some special time with you?” Alice turned to Shane again, “I’m sure that little bald man won’t mind watching the action for awhile.”

     

    “No, hehe,” Shane snickered. “he’ll probably be in the men’s, getting action of his own.”

    1. Wow, all that booze left me feeling headachey and dehydrated. Or maybe it’s the flu I’ve had all week. Here’s hoping that the fictional models of this story are better looking in person than the one’s I used to be around when I worked at a photo studio and then a model agency. What can I tell you, camera magic and skilled retouching. For EVERYBODY. Not always the sharpest tacks, either.

    2. LOL, you’re a F**’ing crackup. I know, retouching is key…I only know this from how film affects how a person looks though. Much prettier in lots of ways! As for the sharpest tacks…now now, let’s not be catty;)
