    Bette has a question to ask of Tina ( yes its THAT question )

    Paul came into the room – Josh jumped out of bed. Tina sighed

     

    “Paul – Paul – come and read to me “

     

    “I gather that some small people aren’t going to sleep so that Santa won’t come to them with lots of games and toys “

     

    “That’s what Tina said “ Josh said looking at the adults with suspicion

     

    “Well adults know these things “ Paul explained

     

    “Really — do you know what I am getting from Santa ?”

     

     

    “No “ Paul lifted him up and put him back in bed. He looked at Tina “ I’ll get this one settled “

    “Thanks “

     

    Tina went to the spare room where Becky and Madison had their own beds. Bette was sitting on Madison’s bed – Madison was lying against Bette while she read her a story – a big book was between them. Madison was clearly tired -Bette was stroking her hair and talking to her. Tina watched the sight with happiness – Bette was so good with Tina’s daughters – and they had settled down a lot since Bette had come into their lives. Bette looked at Tina and winked. Tina blew her a kiss and went downstairs. Ollie was sitting on the sofa – his wheelchair neatly folded up behind the sofa.

     

    “You need anything ?” Tina asked

     

    “I am fine – I just wish I could go up those stairs and watch them sleep “

    “Fighting sleep in the case of Josh and Madison “

     

    “How are they doing ? “

     

    “Bette is reading to Madison and Paul is reasoning with Josh – he might have to read to him to get him to sleep. I really could do with an early night but we have to go over to Helena’s and pick up Josh’s bike – why she couldn’t drop it off when she was here earlier on God knows “

     

     

    “Well as soon as Josh and Madi are asleep you and Bette head off and Paul can see to the grown up kids “

     

    “He really seems to enjoy the mayhem “

     

    “He loves it – he hasn’t got a family – he’s an orphan – so it just blows him away when he is in the middle of all of this . This is a dream come true for him – you should have seen him when we went to get Zak some Lego “

    9. That was absolutely beautiful. I knew Bette had found the perfect home for thier very large family but I never expected that she would be having it built from the ground up. I am so glad that Tina didn’t get upset that she wasn’t the one who got to propose first. Wow Ollie made a 360 it is great how he wants to make sure that Bette and Paul are able to leagally take care of the kids should anything happen to Tina and him.

    15. Ahhh, that sure was romantic Ally. Nice thing about the pre-fabs is you can keep adding units until the rooms and houses are the size and configuration you want. So will it all be sleekly modern? I mean it about the NC-17. I want a great big fat one.
