American Werewolves in London: Snogging Beneath the Moon

    The Brit grimaced and coughed.

“You should like it a bit more than that…” Tina said worridly. “Aren’t you hungry at all?”

Helena shrugged, finishing the last of her drink. “No. should I be?”

“I don’t know I suppose it’s different for everyone…” Just as Tina said that, Jenny stole the rest of Helena’s blood—a few drops in the bottom of her glass—and hungrily slurped it all up. “I was hungry…at first…” Tina finished mildly, arching her eyebrow at the insatiable wierdo.

“I want to chew on arms…” Jenny snarled. “I want to eat somebody’s legs and their brains and…and…liver…”

    “Hush!” Helena shouted. “zombie…vampire…wierdo!”

“Indeed.” Tina nodded. “Well, we should get going. We’re going to split up…unfortunately, I’ll have to take Jenny with me, since I’m sending you two on ahead. I’ve called an old friend, he’ll talk things over with you. I’m not certain that he’s going to accept you, Bette, as a werewolf, but I figured with the changes I made to your dna…well, maybe he’ll be a bit more tolerant now.”

“Tolerant?” the word spilled from Bette’s tongue like acid. “I have no interest in being tolerated…”

“Ok, ok,” Helena held her hands up, trying to maintain peace. “If your friend will help us, fine. If not, fine as well. We’re on our own either way.”

“But we’re going to need lots more help.” Tina said with a sigh. “Jenny and I are going to visit an older werewolf—one who has stood outside these troubles for a long, long time.  Now there’s one more thing…My friend is meeting you, and I’ll give you directions to exactly where. But there’s something more I want you to do…”  She gave them instructions to find a stash of weapons, mainly the kind used against vampires surprisingly.

“I do have silver bullets.” Tina added. “The equipment is all rather old—there are newer weapons out there, especially for werewolf hunting.  But this will do for now. I’ll go with Jenny now…”

“yeah, well, just keep her from chewing on anybody’s arms before we get back to you.” Bette laughed as they walked away, mocking Jenny’s newfound interests.

She whistled as they strolled, hand in hand, ridiculously cheerful.

    1. Damn right the ‘disco’ Bee Gees were annoying. Their earlier incarnations weren’t so bad, but by then they sounded like chimps on speed. (BTW, the earliest form of disco had a lot more to do with soul and funk than the pop crap we now know under that name.) So Bette’s hybrid (how green was my wolfie) and Jenny is just as universally reviled as ever. But she doesn’t seem to have any regrets now that she’s not crumbling. Nor many on Helena’s part, either. As yet, but Tina seems to, so what’s her deal? Glad you’re not bailing on this one, but you know I have the hunger for PT in my blood. Oww, owww, owwwwooooh!

    2. Ok hb, let me get this straight, pardon the expression. Bette here is a werewolf and Helena a new vampire, and you don’t want to write PT cos of the bad things you have done to B and H THERE??? Yer breaking my heart hb…you be making my Belena undead killers and what have you!May I recommend diet pepsi instead as a fine beverage? I would like to know how funny knows what chimps on speed sound like..what kinda parties SHE been going to? I LIKE the Bee Gees, at least the pre disco stuff… I shall tolerate no maligning!! Going now to hide away from all you bloodthirsty undead prowling howling critters…

    3. i’m writing PT tonite…but i’m feeling badly cuz bad bad things have happened in the chapter i’m writing…it’s turning into the saddest thing since xena died for the 100th and final time.

    4. Praise be, HB! (ha, that rhymes!) Glad to hear PT is back in the pipeline. Hope you get it out tonight as I really should devote tomorrow to studying for a seriously hairy test tomorrow night. But with the hunger in my blood unsatisfied for so long I may not be able to resist whenever it shows up. May it be soon. And you’re not scaring me with your somber pronouncments regarding Xena’s multideaths. YOU seem to have survived them all, just like the rest of us. So bring it on! And susannah, I’ve certainly seen the effects of speed on humans, and between old Tarzan movies and nature programs I certainly know what chimp shrieks sound like, so it only takes a little imagination to put the two together. It’s a thought that makes me want to run away. BTW, did you know the eldest Bee Gee was born in the same miniscule nation my father’s antecedents were shunned away from? Rumor has it they were horse theives. Just a fun fact for you.

    5. ok, an immortal scotswoman shall be thrown in for madcapper. i looooove that ‘can’t die cept for a beheading’ sh**! hehe, poooor xena. and NO i did NOT survive that dissapointment! *kicks universal’s a** for ruining her favorite lesbo franchise…pt is stalled..soon though…lol

    6. Hello HB, I am so happy that you are going to bring us more of this incredibly entertaining and wickedly diverse story. You are certainly throwing in everything including the kitchen sink and as I read this story (as well as your other amazing adventures) I can feel the insane amount of fun you must be having bringing everything together. Your creativity is so amazing and such an inspiration, you Rock my world :P. Sincerely, JC

    7. funnyone, i believe i was singing it over and over one night when you reminded me of its wonderous wonder…other than that song, i don’t listen to the blue oysters. the bee gees were mildly amusing in their disconess, but i guess it was just an opportunity to get some gay vampire action going on. i may even have to write some m/m scene and FREAK everyone out!! PT is going very very slowly…it’s hard to write it when I’ve done such a meanie thing to the two mains…

    8. Hey babe, I got caught up! hehe … I love that whatever the story, Jenny’s still a loose cannon, I am *also* glad that you decided to continue, but oh my, what have you done to PT if it’s as bad as Xena’s 100th death, *cries*
