Bette:  Not at the moment. Will most of this contained in the handbooks and literature you hand out?

Ms. Miller:  Yes, along with websites and other instructions as to how to communicate with teachers, how to obtain grades and monitor your child’s progress. We have a policy that we post all grades for every test, quiz or report in your child’s file and you will have internet access to with the proper password. There will also be attendance records to afterschool activities with skill ratings and progress ratings on a periodic basis. So, you can follow their skill improvements. You can also get information on what Daniel is eating in the cafeteria in case you need to make some adjustments in his diet.

Bette: That’s great. Nothing like an up-to-date record on what going on in your child’s life.

Ms. Miller:  I’m going to get you the materials to take home. And then I am going to take you two to the teachers’ lounge.  Mr. Clark is in charge of testing will come and get Daniel at about ten minutes to ten. He will show you where Daniel will be for testing.  There is a one-way mirror in the room so that you can check on Daniel from time to time. At noon, he will have a one-hour break in which you can go to the cafeteria for lunch and have a potty break.  He will be in the test room from 10 until noon and then from 1 until 3 pm.  Ms. Kennard Potter, you may wait in the lounge during testing. You may check on his well-being at any time you like but you may not talk to him during the test time.  Daniel you will need to give your mother all your electronic devices and back pack.  Your writing instruments will be supplied. Mr. Clark will be in the room at all times but will not give you assistance toward your test. He will be the time keeper and will give you all the instructions you need for your test. He will supply you with a calculator for mathematical and science calculations. And you will have work papers which will be turn in with your test, however those will not be reviewed or effect your test results.  So, if you both will come with me, I will show you where the cafeteria is and where the teachers’ lounge is.
