    Chapter 10 – Tuesday – Daniel’s Test and Marilyn’s Visit

    They all laughed.

Tina:  I can’t think everything else, you just need to see and ask questions.

Marilyn:  How many square feet would you say you have?

Tina:  I think it’s around 4500 square feet. The rooms are all quite generous in space. And the layout is nice when you have guest or for a family. It’s nice to have the privacy of the master suite but the nearness of the kitchen and common areas of the apartment.

Marilyn:  I love these old fashion high ceilings. You don’t find those anymore. And I love the trim. Its nicely painted and kept clean easily.

Dylan:  Well, let take a look around. Why don’t we look at this balcony first?

Angie got up and opened the large French doors to go out on the balcony. They were immediately hit with a wave of heat from the street and buildings around. This balcony looked out over Madison Avenue. They could see down the street to some of the main shopping areas. On the balcony were some outdoor chairs and a small table to have coffee in the morning. There were a couple of potted plant. The floor was a large tile.

Marilyn:  This is a pleasant place to have little fresh air. This is a nice size too. I could see myself with my morning paper and coffee out here in the early morning when it wasn’t so hot.

Helena:  Well, there is not much we can do about the heat except to stay out of it. This is nice Tina.

Tina:  We enjoyed being out here a lot. Bette and I often ate our breakfast out her on the weekends. Not so much in the winter time.

    Marilyn:  Well, I like it.

Tina: Let’s get out of the heat and go on with our tour.

The grouped moved inside while Angie shut the French doors.  Marilyn commented how much she like the doors.

Tina:  Let’s go to the dining room and then to the kitchen.

Tina led the way to the dining room which held a table which seated 10 people. There were two large buffets tables and a large china cabinet. Marilyn like the room size and wall color. They then went into the large well-lit kitchen. The kitchen was fully modernized with a large refrigerator, freezer, two dishwashers, two sinks, a six-burner gas stove, four ovens, built in microwave, bread warmers, wine cooler and yards of counter space and a multitude of cabinets.  There was a counter with four chairs for family meals.  The utility room was off to the left was large with many shelves for storage of can goods, paper goods, and whatever was desired.  There was a pantry which store spices and can goods. Then there was utility sink which is sometimes seen in restaurants.  There was a bath with a shower stall, a toilet, sink and a small storage closet. There was another door which accessed the laundry room. It had cabinets and hanging racks to hold clean clothes before putting them away. The laundry room had a door to the hall which led to the master bedroom.

    1. Thank you… another chapter coming soon.. Couple of days…

As to the growth? I always imagined that as time passed, Bette and Tina would grow more in tuned with each other. They would grow to accept the other for who they were and their idiosyncrasies would become less bothersome for that is what defines them. As they become more knowledgeable of their mate, and more accepting of who they are, the more at peace they would become with themselves and the life they had chosen.
