Chapter 10 – Tuesday – Daniel’s Test and Marilyn’s Visit
Marilyn seemed pleased with what she saw. She called Helena and Dylan into the room and told them that she really liked this place. It was exactly what she had in mind by downsizing. It had adequate room to have her children and grandchildren visit. It was a well laid out floor plan to do the things she wanted in a home. Good space, all the conveniences, and good location. She wanted to go in and out the service entrances before she said anything to Tina.
Helena and Dylan smiled at one another as this was their hopes too.
Dylan: Marilyn, are you sure?
Marilyn: I think this is perfect. This apartment is built with such quality and it truly is the right size from me. I even like the colors of the walls and the counter tops. It’s very traditional and there are a lot of options on how to furnish this place. It’s just beautiful.
Dylan: Well, let’s go ride the elevator.
Tina and Angie were in the lounge waiting for their guest. Dylan indicated that Marilyn wanted to go down stairs via the elevator. Tina asked Angie to go down and let them in the service entrance as she did not have her key on her. Angie smiled and did as she asked. Tina showed Marilyn to the service entrance for the 7th floor. They then pushed the button for the elevator.
Marilyn: Tina did you have a live-in nanny?
Tina: Yes, Marie occupied one of the bedrooms upstairs while she was here. But most weekends she went to her own home. We wanted her to be close to the kids while she was here. Our housekeeper and occasionally we hired a chef and servers to put on meal never stayed overnight.
Marilyn: I just wondered. This is a lovely place.
They got out of the elevator and Tina show them to her service entrance for her apartment. She knocked on the door and Angie opened the door.
Helena: Do we have some more wine?
Tina: I think we have enough for one more glass. I’ll get us some clean glasses. Angie why don’t you pour.
Tina opened the bottles and took four more glasses into the living room. Angie poured the white while Tina poured the red.

Excellent chapter. Enjoying the growth in Bette and Tina & the family. Post soon!
Thank you… another chapter coming soon.. Couple of days…
As to the growth? I always imagined that as time passed, Bette and Tina would grow more in tuned with each other. They would grow to accept the other for who they were and their idiosyncrasies would become less bothersome for that is what defines them. As they become more knowledgeable of their mate, and more accepting of who they are, the more at peace they would become with themselves and the life they had chosen.
