Chapter 10 – Tuesday – Daniel’s Test and Marilyn’s Visit
Angie had a bottle of Perrier. They all sat in the living room and were smiling.
Tina: Well, are there any questions that maybe I could answer?
Helena: When do you think you will be actually moving to Los Angeles?
Tina: We, the entire family, will be here on August 24th or 25th. We are planning on getting everything ready to be moved. We expect to have movers in on September 3rd and be shipped to LA and probably be put into storage. So, by September 4th, this place will be empty and in the hands of a realtor.
Marilyn: Well, my dear, I do not think that a realtor will be necessary. If we can reach a deal, I definitely want to purchase this apartment to be my new home.
Tina (excitedly): Do you really? Are you sure?
Marilyn: Yes, I’m sure. I love this place. It is perfect for me. Just perfect.
Tina got up and walked over to Marilyn and hugged her.
Tina: I really hope that you enjoy living here as much as we have. I don’t think you can go wrong with this place. Its larger than most spaces with the same number of rooms. It certainly has more baths than most. It has a larger kitchen.
Helena: Tina, she’s already said yes. You can stop selling it now.
Helena: Marilyn, Bette and I have worked out a deal already. We are going to have an appraisal of the place which will give us the exact square footage and it will give us the selling prices of several other similar places. So, we plan to take the average square footage selling price of places which have sold in the previous six months within a six square blocks of this place times the square footage of this place will be the selling price of this apartment. That way Bette and Tina get fair market value and you pay fair market value. And the price is not a matter of haggling or taking advantage of our friendship. Bette gets fair market value and you pay not one penny more than fair market value. We estimated that it will be less than 15 million dollars.
Marilyn: Well, I think that is rather reasonable. I expected to pay a lot more.

Excellent chapter. Enjoying the growth in Bette and Tina & the family. Post soon!
Thank you… another chapter coming soon.. Couple of days…
As to the growth? I always imagined that as time passed, Bette and Tina would grow more in tuned with each other. They would grow to accept the other for who they were and their idiosyncrasies would become less bothersome for that is what defines them. As they become more knowledgeable of their mate, and more accepting of who they are, the more at peace they would become with themselves and the life they had chosen.
