Chapter 10 – Tuesday – Daniel’s Test and Marilyn’s Visit
Marilyn: Yes, how well I remember. No absolutely not, it will not be that sort of evening.
Helena and Dylan laughed.
Dylan: We are going to have a nice dinner maybe with some libation to accompany it. But alcohol will not be the main bill of fare.
Tina: Thank goodness. I think we have lots to do this week and a no time for a hangover.
Dylan: Where are we going?
Helena: The Empire Steakhouse. They serve excellent steaks and seafood. I always make it a point to go to a steak house anytime I’m in New York. I seldom have beef any other place. And this place is particularly good.
Tina: I don’t think I’ve had a steak in a very long time. Sounds wonderful. Maybe a seafood starter?
Dylan: Good thing we are on our way, you are making me hungry.
Marilyn: Patience Dylan, we will be there in a few minutes.
They all laughed.
Helena: Now will Angie join us in some libation with our dinner.
Angie: May I Mom?
Tina: Certainly, I don’t mind. As long as you do not overdo it.
Angie: Yes, Helena, I would be pleased to join you.
The car arrived at the restaurant and the ladies exited the car.
Helena: Thank you Carl. We will be about an hour and half to two hours. Why don’t you go get yourself some dinner? I’ll call when we need you. Put it on my account.
Carl: Thank you mam.
Dylan and Helena lead the group into the restaurant. She went to receptionist and announced Peabody Party of five with a 7:00 pm reservation. The restaurant was only about one quarter full. Most in New York, the prime dinner hour is at 8:00 particularly the higher priced establishments. The receptionist gathered the menus and lead the group to a table in the back corner away from the kitchen and high traffic areas. It was as private a location in the dining area as they had.
They all ordered a cocktail before the reviewed their dinner. Tina had suggested that Angie order a Cuba Libra earlier which she did. Tina ordered a vodka and tonic in a tall glass, light on the vodka. Helena ordered a martini dry, Dylan ordered a scotch and water, and Marilyn ordered a margarita. The talk began about the ambiance of the restaurant as they decided on their starters.

Excellent chapter. Enjoying the growth in Bette and Tina & the family. Post soon!
Thank you… another chapter coming soon.. Couple of days…
As to the growth? I always imagined that as time passed, Bette and Tina would grow more in tuned with each other. They would grow to accept the other for who they were and their idiosyncrasies would become less bothersome for that is what defines them. As they become more knowledgeable of their mate, and more accepting of who they are, the more at peace they would become with themselves and the life they had chosen.
