Angie smiled: Yep, we are all getting everything we want. I’m going to the school of my choice, so is Daniel.  Mom is going to be a painter and Mama is going to teach at UCLA.

Tina:  I love it when a plan comes together.

The appetizers arrived and the wine was served and the talk continued. Marilyn talked about her life and what was going on. Once she had her New York residence settled, she would be searching for a home in Oregon to be near her two sons and their families.  She planned to spend six months a year there probably the spring and summer. She would spend the fall and winter in New York. Coming to New York for Christmas had become a tradition in their family that she wanted that to continue. But of course, they always had an option to change things around.

The main course was served and Helena and Dylan talked about their plans to invest in some real estate in California and around the world.  Dylan wanted to buy a farm in Scotland. Helena was interested but they had yet to find the right property yet.  Their idea was to buy a working farm and continue that endeavor. They would put a home on the property for personal use or to rent out for tourist to have an authentic farm experience.  This perked Tina’s interest.

Tina:  We might be interested in taking a family vacation to a place like that. I think Bette and Daniel would love to spend a couple of weeks in Scotland on a farm.  Sounds like a real vacation.

Angie:  I would love to do something like that. Maybe we could get Grandma Mary to go with us.

Marilyn:  I would love something like that as well. Rural life is so refreshing. Of course, I’m not sure how to be a sheep herder.

Tina:  Yeah, maybe we could get Marilyn and Mary to go with us. Dylan – you have some renter interest here if you get that done.

Helena:  Yeah, maybe the Lesbians of LA group might be interested in a week or so as well?

Dylan:  Hadn’t thought of that… wouldn’t that be a hoot?

Marilyn:  A lot of city ladies in the country?  They might be bored?
