Chapter 10 – Tuesday – Daniel’s Test and Marilyn’s Visit
Tina: Oh, I think not. They all have an appreciation for nature and they all have gotten to the age where they don’t want the flashy lights and the noise. They are at that point in their lives that a vacation is to relax and have a good time. We have all matured from the people we were.
Marilyn: Well Helena, you going to need an inn not a house with that many people.
Helena: A country inn… that really sounds intriguing.
Dylan: Yeah, and being run by local Scots… I could see that.
The group decided to pass on dessert but to have after dinner coffee instead. Angie thought this was the best time to drink coffee.
Tina: Ladies, I hate to break up a good party, but we have another busy day for tomorrow and I need my beauty sleep. I certainly have enjoyed this dinner. Thankyou Helena and Dylan. And Marilyn? Thank you so much for coming today. You have been a blessing in our lives and we will be in touch soon.
Marilyn: Whenever you and Bette are here in New York, let’s get together. I would love to have all of you come stay with me. And Angie, you just pick some weekend and come to New York for a break. Bring someone if you want to or come by yourself. We’ll go to the theatre or something. I would love to have you.
Helena: Angie, we are going to see you before you go back to school. But if something happens that we don’t, you have a good time at school. Don’t keep your nose in the books all the time. A part of your education is not going to come from the classroom. It’s going to come from the people you surround yourself with. We are really proud of you, young lady. And we love you dearly.
Helena had settled the bill and they all went to the car. Carl arrived just as they were existing the restaurant. They drove Angie and Tina and dropped them off at the apartment and then hugged each them.
Tina and Angie went up to the apartment and then told each other good night after agreeing to the same schedule of getting up for tomorrow. Tina encouraged Angie to call her mother before she went to bed. She was going to shower and then call Bette and then go to bed. Angie said she would call Bette and Daniel and then take a shower and go to bed. Five in the morning would come early. Tina then reminded Angie not to say anything about Daniel being in the sixth grade unless she was sure he had been told about it. Angie agreed that was the right thing to do. Tina hugged her daughter and told her how proud she was and how much she appreciated her hard work. Then she kissed her on her forehead and told her how much she loved her.

Excellent chapter. Enjoying the growth in Bette and Tina & the family. Post soon!
Thank you… another chapter coming soon.. Couple of days…
As to the growth? I always imagined that as time passed, Bette and Tina would grow more in tuned with each other. They would grow to accept the other for who they were and their idiosyncrasies would become less bothersome for that is what defines them. As they become more knowledgeable of their mate, and more accepting of who they are, the more at peace they would become with themselves and the life they had chosen.
