    Alice gets a proposal – B&T take a road trip that leads to? – Oh, just read it — :)

     

                Bette turned the music back on after a moment, and a soft melodic song came on.  They both sat quietly, the sad song fitting the moment that was gracing the two of them. Then Bette began to listen to the voice, it was Spencer’s voice, much sweeter than Bette had ever heard it before.  A feeling washed over her as she gazed at Tina as she drove.

     

    There is one thing I know

    The aura of you and me
    Will always be

     

                Spencer held the last note for what seemed like an impossible amount of time, and Bette’s eyes never left Tina’s face.  Then, Bette looked down at the liner notes in her hand again, her fingertip touching the B&T that was mentioned in the notes for the very song that was playing.

                Rumours was in high gear, several of the artists in the lineup were now on stage, singing impromptu songs, jamming, and having fun.  Spencer was gone from the stage, but Sydney was still there with Daisy, Sydney on the piano and Daisy on the guitar. 

     

                “Shane!” called out Spencer from the crowd, waving at Shane.  Shane looked up, she was sitting on a chair with both of her swollen legs propped up, and she was tired.  How could this be; Shane was at a party and was tired, and Lara was camping it up with the girls, telling tall tales of Shane’s over the top sexual desires. 

     

                “Who called my name?” Shane asked Tina.

     

                “I don’t know,” said Tina, turning in her chair.  She had her hair tied up in a loose ponytail and was wearing a ‘Hope’s Corner’ shirt.  Most of them were wearing the same shirts.  Lara had torn the bottom half of hers off, showing plenty of tasty looking flesh, Alice had disposed of her sleeves and even Bette was wearing one. 

     

                “Hey!” called out Spencer, finally wrestling herself free of the crowd.  “I got a favor to ask,” said the breathless teenager, as she stood in front of Shane.  “Ladies.”

     

                “Spencer, when are you going to sing your song?” asked Alice, having drunk at least half of a bottle of Jack Daniels by her self.

    5. well, well Janet…who would have figured you for such a soft, sweet romantic?? Loved the chapter, definitely worth the wait, as always!! Had to read it twice to fully savor your brilliance. The songs were perfectly woven through the story. Love is certainly in the air… looks like a mad dash to the alter for the lovely couples. Fun to see Ro back for Alice. Also loved the appearance of alpha Tina…so hot… but can’t believe you actually left off where you did! pout…Tease! Can’t wait for the next chapter. Have a good week.

As for the awards, I would like to see every writer who has the courage to post have that equal acknowledgement. In the famous words of my wife, suck it up and just accept it!!! LMAOOO!

    8. Damn, Janet. That was really good. So much going on, and Spencer’s lyrics weaving in and out amongst it all. Shane and Lara are really just… I love em. They’re cute, they’re funny, they’re sexy… It’s a winner all round. And they’ve already moved into that old wise and married stage, and like, faster than a speeding bullet! …Al & Ro! They took way longer to break up than they did to make up, but marriage? The heart wants what it wants, and they’ve got it. Good on em, I say! Bette… I wish Kit was there to see her sister making it. Seems like B & T are meant to be… but we’ll see, shall we? I’m still waiting for that sackful of pennies to drop. The optimist in me sees everything working out, though. Helena, Paige; Shane & Lara; Al & Ro; B&T; Jo & Amy?; Spencer & Riley. Anyway, thank you for the post, JM. Cheers
