Collision Course 4.83 – The Aura Of Me & You

“My god, she can sing,” said Bette.  “Are you sure you aren’t ready to give her another chance?” asked Bette.

Tina swallowed, shaking her head, “No.”  Tina let the music wash over her, thinking back to the promise she’d made Jo Wheaton.

“Promise me,” said Jo.  Knowing Bette was outside, wanting to forgive and forget, but that wasn’t in the cards for Bette and Jo.  Jo knew that giving up the one you loved was something necessary for them to be happy.  Bette had picked her path by making her a vampire again, but Jo had known that something was coming because of Emma’s vision.

“Jo, stop it.  Go outside and talk to her, please?  She’s so broken without you.”

“Promise me; promise me that you’ll give her another chance.  Tina, please don’t let all of this be for nothing.  Don’t you see?  You’ve known all along, that’s why you kissed her earlier this year when we began dating, that’s why you’ve never been able to fall in love with anyone else.  You’ll always love her, and now, she’s the woman you’ve always dreamed she could be.  And you’re the woman she’s always wanted, strong, smart, tough, and the mother of her child.  Promise me,” said Jo, her amber eyes blazing at Tina.

“I promise,” said Tina.  “I promise that if the time comes, I’ll give Bette another chance.”

“Tee?” asked Bette, as she paused the song that was playing.  Tina’s eyes were filled with thought, clouded over and her face was serious, giving Bette cause for concern.

“What?” said Tina, snapping out of the memory that had suddenly been so vivid, that Tina thought she was reliving it again.

“Are you alright?” asked Bette.  Her hand touching Tina’s, then moving to her cheek.  “Why are you crying?”

Tina reached up, wiping the tear away with an absent hand, “I don’t know.  I was just thinking about something, remembering.”

Bette pulled her hand away from Tina’s cheek, rubbing the tear with her forefinger, “Tee, please tell me what’s wrong?”

“Nothing, I was just… lost in a memory,” said Tina, forcing a smile.  Was this what Jo had been trying to tell her?  That she and Bette were destined to be with one another, that they had to grow apart to grow together.

    1. that was great I just hope that u have at least one or two more chapters for this as I feel that there is stll a bit more to write about if so please soon if not what a great story I have love every part of it thank you so much for writing it

    2. well, well Janet…who would have figured you for such a soft, sweet romantic?? Loved the chapter, definitely worth the wait, as always!! Had to read it twice to fully savor your brilliance. The songs were perfectly woven through the story. Love is certainly in the air… looks like a mad dash to the alter for the lovely couples. Fun to see Ro back for Alice. Also loved the appearance of alpha Tina…so hot… but can’t believe you actually left off where you did! pout…Tease! Can’t wait for the next chapter. Have a good week.

    3. Janet, this was so light and fun, but rather sexy and inviting!!! 11 pages of hard work displayed here. Thanks so much Janet. As for the awards, I would like to see every writer who has the courage to post have that equal acknowledgement. In the famous words of my wife, suck it up and just accept it!!! LMAOOO!

    4. Damn, Janet. That was really good. So much going on, and Spencer’s lyrics weaving in and out amongst it all. Shane and Lara are really just… I love em. They’re cute, they’re funny, they’re sexy… It’s a winner all round. And they’ve already moved into that old wise and married stage, and like, faster than a speeding bullet! …Al & Ro! They took way longer to break up than they did to make up, but marriage? The heart wants what it wants, and they’ve got it. Good on em, I say! Bette… I wish Kit was there to see her sister making it. Seems like B & T are meant to be… but we’ll see, shall we? I’m still waiting for that sackful of pennies to drop. The optimist in me sees everything working out, though. Helena, Paige; Shane & Lara; Al & Ro; B&T; Jo & Amy?; Spencer & Riley. Anyway, thank you for the post, JM. Cheers

    5. “because love isn’t about chance, it’s about fate, and faith in love, and in each other.” Thank you JM for this chapter and that song accompanying their moment, just perfect :)
